RE: Re: RE: jTWG XII Sign-ups!

hiyasucka, its really simple to get an IM
www.aim.com and go to the part where it says get AIM
create a screen name and password (you could just use hiyasucka again if you want)

then once the game starts, go to buddy list setup and add the names of all the other players, for example, mine is chickendude1313

also, if you have gmail you could get google-talk, its another good IM service but its relatively new and not everyone has it. talk.google.com

Instant messanging is really helpful in this game, and its not a complicated process to get it, so try it out

Wow, that's just great. I just missed the first TWG signups, and will be gone for the second. D: I'm voting TSAGod for host for the sole reason that I don't think randomness fits well in a game based around critical thinking.

And if you didn't catch the implied message there, I'm in.

edit: Actually, I'd like some clarifications, TSAGod.

Do you mean he learns of a wolf if he is attacked and guarded, or he just doesn't die when he is wolfed?

Does the loner get one PM a night to try to peg a wolf? I thought you said the loner could be good for the wolves..

What are the winning conditions for the loner? Since you said the loner is obsessed with finding the wolves but diesn't like the humans, I would assume this will be a 3 team type game.

Finally, do you really think we'll hit 18 people? I think it could be shrinked to 16, it doesn't really look like the game is too stacked in favor of the wolves. Then again, it is jTWG, but still.

I'm thinking when the wolves are about to wolf him, they realize that he wants them to succeed, so they instead let him help them, not kill him.

The goal of guessing the wolves is not to kill them; if chosen correctly, they meet up and the loner can then kill at nights.

The loner's like a combination of a mark and a master wolf. It's basically a wolf in terms of winning, however it needs to be activated before both wolves die or it loses without being able to wolf.

I'm not sure if we will, but I figured I'd start high, and then if it seems I'm going to host and there's still many open spaces, I'll cut it down. I'll probably see how the TWG signups go, and make a final decision by Monday night.

If anybody else has any other ideas for balance, I'm welcome to them.

Wow, now that I know what the loner really does, I noticed that the teams are stacked 2damax. I like the idea, but two kills a night is just too much. How about the loner gets a kill every other night or something like that? The loner just seems to make the wolves too overpowering.

Plus, the mad scientist is basically like a vigilante except they get their kill over 3 days. That could even work for the wolves, as little of a difference as it makes to begin with.

Now, if the loner is activated, do the humans have to kill them to win? If they don't then 2 kills a night isn't quite as bad.

I think the loner is more of the, "ima kil hu i wnt beetch" and it seems like it is the special role that would win if the wolves won or if the humans won.

what if the loner just turns into a wolf (MW I guess) after they meet up?
loner could just vote like a wolf etc

The wolves use there special Hello you are a werewolf now syrum on the loner

That's what I thought too, but TSA's post above clearly states otherwise. I do think it should be changed some, though. How about get rid of the mad scientist, assign the loner role immediately, and give them a win if they survive to the end of the game regardless of the humans/wolves? I think that would be pretty neat.

This is just a suggestion, though. If you want to keep your idea, I do think we should create a little more balance by either changing the mad scientist into a full vigil or just give the wolves one kill whether they have the loner or not.

If the loner role doesn't change, I'll probably vote for Matt.

Yeah...I was trying to figure out how I could make it fair.

I definately wanted to include a human that turned on the humans, but not a wolf like a Demon who won't quit...

The activation is definately a crucial part to the game. If possible, I'd like to keep up the possibility of having the two kills a night, but that would make it really hard, unless if like half of the people are guardians.

How about the loner gets to half kill a person every night, with the half-dead person not getting his vote counted with a medic person who can prevent it from happening? In this scenario, the loner wins unless he dies.

Either that or I'll just make him a master wolf after the discovery, winning as a human if the humans win before he is discovered or winning as a wolf if the wolves win after he is discovered. In this scenario, if the other wolves die, the game continues.

I'm revoking my vote for TSA's game, it's just too confusing. Too much amending going on for my liking.

Maybe you should make 2 guardians in this game, to correspond to the 2 kills per night
That might do something fair, a little bit at least

two guardians can't lose if they know each other, btw.

                            exits jtwg topic...

sure they can talisman, if there are 2+ wolves. Only scenario is 2 guardian who know each other and only 1 wolf.

yeah but that would be hella stacked for the humans if two guardians could front an alliance. you know what I mean.
