Whoa, you guys brought that sophistication up a few notches ay, haha. How's the player base been? Have you guys been playing TWG without too much "lag" I guess you could call it?

FFRTWG is still exclusively played on the forums I'm not sure if Charu understood what you were asking. This is more of a side thing more than anything else. Most (but not all) games nowadays are done, with the exception of wolfchat, with all communication and player-talk, done in the thread only.

As for lag, it really depends on your computer more than anything else, though there can be some if your internet is bad. Zoom is almost flawless as a program for liveTWG, and its really convenient once you learn to use it, which shouldn't take more than 5 minutes.

Any who, for regular FFRTWG stuff, majority of the games as of late have been thread only (as it should be, SUNFAN!!!!!!!!!)

Though it has been a very long while since an OOT game was done here. If there is one, AIM is definitely not the platform to use, but you are still welcome to use it.

OOT for us just means you can communicate with players however you want, be it with PM's or sharing Skypes or saying I have this IRC or what have you.

OOT? Pardon my illiteracy, it's been a while since I've used any IM'ing platform. I guess I just wanted to clarify, having an AIM used to be mandatory with the majority of player interactions being encouraged on there, hence the posting and *editing* of chat logs to back ones story or whatever. Also, this begs an all too familiar question:

Is the IRL rule still heavily enforced?

the IRL rule isn't really heavily enforced - i lived with dabackpack for an extended stint, and we still played games together

there was one instance where like, the rule was broken, but it was under extenuating circumstances, and only a modkill happened (wii fit trainer lol)

IRL rule has changed slightly; a husband and wife (TC_Halogen and psychoangel) have both played in the same game before as well as several people have met with each other during recent conventions, namely Anime North.

OOT = Out of thread. Most out of thread communication, if allowed, is done on Skype nowadays, though all mediums are allowed. IRL rule hasn't really been tested in this regard yet, and I admit that it would be nigh on impossible to play the game normally while seeing someone every day during a game.

Other than that, most of the old rules still apply, though I believe there has been some changes to the window in which posts may be edited, and if there is OOT in a game, editing or deleting skype messages is not allowed, nor is screenshotting conversations.

EDIT: Another change you may have noticed is that your postcount no longer increases if you post in threads in the TWG subforum.

you're no longer able to edit posts at all, because it'll show up as edited regardless of how fast you buffer in the edit

Interest note on the post editing format. So you can edit if need be now? And contrary to my behavior when I used to play I'm not just trying to rack up post count haha, Manti and I are side by side on the stupid Prolific Posters. Strange though, seems like the forum hosters underwent some programming changes.

nope, no editing at all just the way posts are viewed when edited has changed.
I don't know if you knew, but there was a "window" of like 10 seconds where you could edit posts right after posting and it wouldn't show up as edited, which is no longer the case.
