I think that even using X1.25, 1.5 is hard. 1.75 is useful but on Stepmania you gotta use x2 or x3 (Or C400-800)

Do I think "speed mads are nwbie?" Ah, an incoherent question with a simple answer. No, I do not think that "speed mads are nwbie," and I'll tell you why. The purpose of speed mods is to assist EXPERIENCED players by making insane stepcharts actually reasonable to read. Sure, countless songs are passable without the assistance of speed mods, but for hardcore players who aim to AAA everything (not "nwb"s), they're an absolute necessity.

EDIT: Speaking of incoherent posts, does anybody understand what the guy above me is trying to say? o.O

Sorry. I don't think anyone could help you understand that. It's complicated.

I'm pretty sure I've already said, but basically what the guy above me says is true. Speed Mods are NECESSARY. Unless you can slow down time with your eyes or something.

It may not be cheating but since it is an aid to people who can't read arrows, to me it just kinda shows that without mods you are better. especially the C speed mods, it just takes a big chunk of difficulty out of the game. it's like bowling with the bumpers out, yeah they are there as part of the game but people that are better don't need them.
