Some people use screenshrinking, and some use speed mods, and some even use some combination of those. It's all based on personal preference. None of those are stupid or noobish.

I use speed 1.75-2x. On DDR, I use 3x when possible, and on ITG, I use 4-5x when it's not a song like vertex or pandemonium.

Me a 2x type. If it wern't for them, I would have died from those 7-footers. They help, since my timing is sort of fast. (But not like 200+ BPM fast. ^^; )

DDR-2x and up
ITG-2x and all the way up to 6x sometimes
SM-mmm...c850 or c900

I used to think that "If you use a speed mod, then you are a cheater"

But then I got good at DDR and I realized, anyone who says speed mods are cheaters are complete dumbasses.

Plus, when you start playing ITG, it gets really necessary.

When I play DDR or ITG or all these dance simulations, the only fun thing is seeing the arrows fly up your screen at light speed. I don't care bout the rest.

I can't get used to speed mods, I'm sticked with screencutting and I'm fine with it so that's why I think screencutting is better XP
