Re: Why ITG is stupid.
Bump because this thread is worth
ITG does not have to go with the vocals. Sunshine Expert goes with some of the instruments in the background.
Listen more carefully to it. If you listen extremely close you can hear some kind of piano (?) in the background.Comment

Re: Why ITG is stupid.
Your an idiot Just because DDR isn't as challenging as ITG doesn't mean the game is an absoulute failureTo be honest DDR is freakin retarded. Pathetic step patterns holding NO challenge what-so-ever. I think the hardest song i've found on DDR is Max 300 superspeedmix. After getting a full combo on that on the FIRST try, it's official, DDR sucks compared to ITG. ITG you get much more mods AND you use your hands. What could be better? Much harder songs and also a very simple beginer mode to help you out. DDR is more for idiots that want to look good or pretend thier good OR they just don't know how to play. ITG actualy puts a challenge to the steps. Like someone said earlier putting 4 steps into one beat, and having DDR put one step into a beat? A complicated song on DDR might be a 200 bpm. That's sad. Anything under 250 isn't worth playing without mods. Now we go to ITG with songs like robotix and vertex. Those take real skill. Also you can add songs directly to the machine. That meaning you can put songs with over 500 bpm on there. That's why ITG clearly beats down DDR anyday.

Re: Why ITG is stupid.
Like i say before "Konami are just problem to make some stepchart dificult AND nice to play."They just want their stepcharts to be more challenging, and if there are jumps in the middle, it definitely makes it hard. FELMO has a lot of jumps, which makes it a VERY hard stepchart. Since it is a hard stpechart, I enjoy playing it. :P
I prefer play song i enjoy to play, and not insane stepchart... in ITG you can find some stepcharts nice to play and very dificult. But there is some sh** too, like "Tell" Expert. But if you prefer FELMO that's you choise ^^ (You can try TELL Expert
)
Oh and btw, there is no off sync songs in ITG, not like in DDR. (i found a new song of sync : "i'll make love to you" , try in x5 and you will see. It's just one exemple, there is so more exemple...)Comment

Re: Why ITG is stupid.
Ditto.
also, Hardcore symphony is one of the craziest songs EVER! It is like a "very difficult" song on FFR. It has strings of 16th notes all over. Look it up on youtube.Last edited by jakobsk8; 11-4-2007, 05:07 AM.Comment

Re: Why ITG is stupid.
I don't understand. First of all, they were not impossible games, and second of all, they are only unfair because you don't have the patience or skill to get better at them.
NEVER mock the classics.
And to the original poster, Triple J's "Follow The Sun", a.k.a. "Sunshine", is the best song. Ever. Period.
I'm of the mindset that ITG and DDR and PIU are good.
TechnoMotion is the true master, though. :PLast edited by Coolgamer; 11-11-2007, 03:32 PM.Comment

Re: Why ITG is stupid.
ITG is fun if you can do hard songs "well" sunshine is incredibly easy and it does go with the beat very well. If you don't like hard songs just don't play them and not complainFor one thing I can pass most 12-footers on ITG and ITG2.. and another thing. 'It cannot do anything?' I didn't understand what you were trying to say there.

Re: Why ITG is stupid.
Yeah no doubt. Dude, its okay you can't handle ITG stepcharts, because DDR stepcharts are not only the blow, but yes..they do go beyond 10 feet. ITG makes it fun to step...double stepping(ddr) is ftl, if you even know what that means.
On a higher note, DDR cabs suck, and the sensors suck as well. ITG's mercury sensors are so precise, and you can play songs from FFR on it even, like uber rave!
Just because you can't do "a burst" doesnt mean ITG sucks.
To sum it all up...
-ITG's music is better
-ITG's cabs are better
-ITG=more advanced for people who have graduated DDR
-You can play extra songs that you upload from SM
and the R-bar if that means anything to anyone.Comment

Re: Why ITG is stupid.
How can you think the music is better on ITG? It sounds like a random assortment of crappy electronica and poor excuses for happy hardcore. a lot of it isn't even really "dance" music whereas DDR has a nice assortment of jpop, eurobeat, and dance techno. Not to mention that (atleast to me) many of the songs sound like knock offs of ddr songs like energizer and disconnected (as compared to a MAX song or paranoia). Overall i think DDR accomplishes the goal of being a better game with better songs and the step charts, personally i think the ones on ITG, though harder, eliminate the fun factor and instead go for the "OMG HOW EXTREME CAN WE MAKE THIS."Comment

DDR isn't fun when there are harder stepcharts....
Also, DDR's Jpop and Eurobeat sucks. There are some pretty bad songs in ITG, yes, but the good ones blow most of DDR's away.
Exceptions are Healing Vision(both mixes), Maxx Unlimited, Xenon, and Sakura.Comment

Re: Why ITG is stupid.
The problem of DDR is not the songs, because there is a lot of things prety nice to listen... it's just stepcharts.
I didn't think like kawaiimisato that itg songs are "like a random assortment of crappy electronica and poor excuses for happy hardcore".
Itg are ddr are both enjoyable songs. Utopia, Twilight, Oasis... every song is an experience. Stepchart are not always "OMFG SO HARD INSANE" (even they are some) like some guys like to say it.
Expert stepchart are often have interesting things, i not talk about stamina or hitting 10arrow/sec. Try Oasis Expert with ghetos steps and skips, or Bang("!") with funny rolls and mines just after. I realy enjoy playing lots of 9 feet on ITG, not like on DDR. Oh yeah, and try "sweet world" in Expert (10feet) so funny to play, impossible for konami to do stepchart like this, beacause 10 feet are not fun to play, just hard and that's all.
That's not ITG who are "OMG HOW EXTREME CAN WE MAKE THIS." that's DDR. Play Felm Oni, or kind of other things like this, and you understand.
Btw, players who complain about ITG is to insane and blabla... you can play in "hard" and not "Expert" if it's too insane for you or stupid.Comment

Max songs are almost always repetitive and sound like every other max song.
Kyle Ward creates the best type of music for rhythm games, and it takes out the fun factor?
I think its pretty fun seeing how good you can get, unlike on ddr where the hardest song is psmo and that isnt really hard.signatures are for nerds

Re: Why ITG is stupid.
I had to check this thread out. Why? I seen it was titled ITG sucks. Now wtf is that.
If anyone saids that ITG sucks, then they're f***Ing retards, IMO. I love ITG because there steps make sense, they're way better than DDR steps, (DDR is beyond easy and also their step charts are gay, IMO).
I don't know, ITG will always be better than DDR,

Re: Why ITG is stupid.
Wow....
just....wow...
DDR= The original. They get 10 points instantly for that. Creativity Pwns!
ITG= The Upgrade. yes they copied DDR. Massively. And TBH, I hated ITG purely on that basis until i actually went and played it. (I almost died, holy hardness!)
DDR is like the retarded nubcake who leaves the bpm on 60.000 and just uses every note-snap possible, then throws in craploads of jumpstream and g-stream to make it harder to play. After Standard and SOME heavy mode, DDR stops being fun. Period.
ITG is like Mr. Edit (off the top of my head) Notes that actually fit the music, and not just the lyrics. Following the Synths, Guitar, and Drums = Teh Shyznat.
I still remember when i posted a song that followed the lyrics, while there were perfectly awesome synths to follow.
I got my ass chewed out >.<

Who the **** Bumped this? LOL! I hate this thread. STOP THE HATE ON BOTH SIDES.We all agree ITG is HARDER.Let fanboys be fanboys. Some people like me prefer ITG over DDR because its limitless.I mean it autmatically wins.ITG 2 has CUSTOM SONGS.so ITG wins.Last edited by leadafro; 11-16-2007, 08:14 AM.I'm black yall I'm black yall I'm blickity black black and I'm back.Comment
