Uh for Misirlou just strum to the beat and make sure you don't do extra ones at the end so you can actually keep a streak

idk I do random runs and get ~250k now, best is that awesome 278k run I had

For that pattern, just use your index and ring finger and slide back and forth. Works like a charm.

Carry Me Home is likely my favorite, especially now that I know how to do the main riff. I also like all of Tier 8 minus Institutionalized, plus Rock This Town.

Shash to answer your question a few pages back, I just got the log. Didn't 5 star all of the bonus songs, I can't even pass Jordan yet. I fail about 5 seconds before the hardest part of the solo ends, the rest is pretty straightforward.

I played this game on my friend's ps2 and picked it up pretty quickly. It is going to be one of the first games I get when I buy a 360.

I just got it for the 360, its soo good.
Its my first time playing it too..im catchin on fast.

I haven't played that in forever haha, I just kinda don't like the idea of going through the whole song just for the VERY ending which is the only part that matters =/

lol, it's not the ONLY thing that matters. It just takes practice. I have the star power path down pat too. The only reason my current score isnt owning you is because i for some reason strummed in the middle of one of the last long star powers, breaking my multiplier and wasting my last star power use.

It's the only part that's even remotely hard to FC, I meant...SP paths are only a matter of looking up stuff, unless you're going for 1st.

Are there any tips for getting better besides practising ?

Also got a couple of questions:

- I got huge problems with 4 note stream hammerons, it looks like you need to strum on the first and the last note which is hella confusing.. ? Or can you actually do 4 notes in a row with them?
- I haven't tried pulloffs yet, do you guys use that often ?
- Do you often stay with your fingers on the frets for stairlike patterns ? e.g: green red yellow blue yellow red green. It feels so weird to me :/

- And my most important question: is there any sort of "rule" for using a certain finger on a certain fret ? I mean, I always have my fingers either on top 4 frets or bottom 4, but sometimes I find some patterns like yellow - blue/orange - yellow - blue/orange pretty tiring.. Should I just learn to move my fingers all over the place or should I stick to some stiff positions ?

For all HOPO runs of any length, you only have to strum the first note. In one song (Laid to Rest) you can actually hit 282 notes with a single strum.

I use them in various assorted places. You're usually better off just tapping, though.

I typically try to stay in second position (index on R), but my hand just kinda moves all over the place as I play.
