Just wondering if anyone has tried this. I've only been playing GH since December and have a boom mic stand. So i figured I'd rig it up and sing/play a few songs, (I play guitar and sing, how could this be hard)

Now I'm no expert @ guitar hero, but i had a go today. Nirvana 'you know you're right' guitar on expert - 98%, vocals on hard - 96%.

It's a little tricky due to the fact that you have to watch the guitar and gauge the vocals by ear.

So, score. Good? Bad?

I've been playing GH since early '08.
Beat Lou on Expert a few days ago. I hear somewhere that Wii is harder than other, so it makes me feel a bit better.
My friend ssdmiddleman (he plays FFR as well as GH) got 849k on Through the Fire and Flames, while I still have yet to pass the intro.
But yeah, I like GH a lot. Good thing the tournament I'm entering is local, because I would get whooped if it weren't. (And if anyone here is in the Coshocton, Ohio area, it's at GameScape at 2:00 PM on the 28th if you were wondering)

I've been playing Guitar Hero for a while, but its originality has sort of diminished now, so I only enjoy playing it now and again, which means I don't get any better.

I'm better than average though, and can full combo some Experts.

It annoys me that however hard I try, I could never complete Through The Fire & Flames on Expert on GH3, without using training mode. I know some people can, but its certainly not for me.

I feel they are pushing the franchise too far now though.
Guitar Hero World Tour isn't something that I'm going to get, but it has been tempting in the past

The franchise is doing better than ever if you ask me. They have 100% original songs now, and the additon of extra instruments make it a solid party game. It still stays true to making it a fun game to play alone as well, no matter what your instrument of choice is. And the best part about the game is that it still stays challenging t new and veteran players, always keeping in mind that difficulty is still an important factor. The games have always gotten progressivly better, and I can't wait to see what GH5 puts out.

Oh hey I went to Playdium, and OH MY GOD THEY HAVE GUITAR HERO ARCADE!

So I went to try it out for the lulz. I didn't expect much from it really. So I chose to play Cult of Personality. What's the first thing I notice? The game actually has an incorrect video/audio offset. The guitar isn't synced with the TV, so I pretty much failed by the second solo.

Wow guys I thought you would be so much smarter to fix this =/.

It has to be set by the arcade operator, who probably has no idea how it works nor does he have the timing to do it well.
