Holy cow -- Mugen's Expert steps have to be a mistake. Just watched the vid. Those are definitely in the ballpark of 7, and 8 is pushing it!

FMAXX is going to be a beast.

Mugen steps are a joke as a 10 footer. Like djsterf said, they're a 7 and MAYBE an 8. The steps look REALLY fun though.

I live in indianapolis so I might make a day of it sometime. I don't exactly have my license right now so I'll let you know if and when I can get a ride down there.

It is now confirmed that the test machine is located somewhere in SoCal. More specifically, Boomers in LA. The machine, as rumors go, was first playable on Friday, January 27th, and will remain there two weeks from that date. Then, the machine will be shipped off to good ol' Chicago, and Brunswick Zone Naperville is the supposed hosting location. Of course, if and when it comes in, I will be on site, taking pictures of the cabinet, and maybe some gameplay shots so you guys can get a good idea of what it's like. Of course, there is no confirmation that this uncompleted version is in a dedicab. Last I heard, the cabinets were not completed, so we likely won't know what the dedicab is like for sure until its official release.

How were the judgement timing windows? Bigger than arcade EX or the same?

They felt like Extreme's windows, but it was hard for me to tell, because some songs were synced all over the place (I mostly noticed it on the EX2 songs).


...and Murmur Twins' heavy steps took me by surprise.... they're VERY fun.

This file includes a clean MP3 rip of Fascination MaxX, but I believe the steps are original. It's very...Unique. The song, that is. Again, listening to it might wreck some of the surprises, so be wary. Otherwise, go ahead and grab it. ^_^

They are original steps, not Konami's. If you want download the one under neath and just replace the mp3 and offset to -2.984. Or something around that.
