DDR is much more fun, because it is original- but it can bore me sometimes when i can pass everything. Not to mention that its now obsolete in Japan.

ITG on the other hand is fun, because you have many more options- but the songs arent as fun and blah blah ddr is better for me.

DDR has more catchy music and ITG has a bigger variety. I would say DDR for the begnner-heavy dancing gamers is better where on the other hand ITG is meant for moderate-expert dancing gamers. ITG's steps are insane!! I never thought of them using 6 different beats... in I believe Euphoria is the only one with 1/32 notes

IMO DDR just became too....easy I guess for a lack of words. As soon as I played ITG2 for the first time, I immediately fell in love with it. It offers everything I wanted in DDR and more. Sure, somethimes the music might not be on par with DDR, but like before DDR is pretty much dead in Japan. It's time to give some love to ITG.

Anybody can pick up ITG from the get go; they put in novice for a reason. It simply betters the player much quicker, as the player gets more suited to the upped difficulty. As for Euphoria having 1/32 notes, VerTex/² both have 1/16 notes which are in essence, 1/32s. Oh, and One False Move Expert has 1/32 notes for no good reason. =D

Chromer, I felt the same way. After I played it, I walked to the DDREX machine, kicked it, hugged the ITG2 machine and had the arcade owner yell at me. It was worth it though... (And WTF, am I the only person who likes ITG's selection of songs? Music, pleeze.)
Why would you put that in your signature? You've lost your signature rights for a month. (You'll get them back on March 10th, 2012.)

theyre both very good but ITG is harder and more challenging.

which doesnt make it better im just saying

+ PSMO is harder than vertex in my opinion even tho vertex probly has way more steps Im not sure but I think vertex shoud be an 11 anyway.

too confusing for me to choose!

DDR has the catchy music but ITG has the challenging arrows

I would say DDR until ITG has some catchy music to play with.

                IMO:

DDR has just disappointed me on many occasions.

The songs are usually pretty ghey. There are like 5 songs that are actually cool. My friend bought DDR Ultramix 3 and there was barely anything that was any good whatsoever. The steps really all seem to be repeating themselves across songs and if not, they sure seem like it. Many of the songs lack that novelty feeling you get from ITG songs. Like, some songs are almost completely 8th notes. WOOHOO! :/ Whereas songs in ITG have steps that you remember because they are fun. Like the jumps in D-Code or the quad in Anubis...

ITG on the other hand has surprised me ever since I found out about it.

First and foremost: The songs. Awesome. I have probably a third of my mp3 player filled with songs from ITG. The presentation of the whole thing is just cool. The graphics are sharper and the timing feels much better. Like, when I get a great I can tell that I got a great. Then there's all the bells and whistles that come with it. The USB card thing is such a good idea. Edit steps are great. Marathon mode is extremly fun.

Overall I just enjoy playing ITG so much more than DDR.

This is where I would say no. But it's entirely a matter of preference, so there's really no use debating it. If you're more into hardcore techno or stuff that's got bass coming out the wazoo, then ITG is probably your game. If it's happy, upbeat stuff you're into, then DDR has a lot more of it.

Personally, I prefer the hardcore stuff like Monolith, Pandemonium, VerTex², Infection, all that stuff. Cartoon Heroes just doesn't do it for me.

DDR had challenging arrows for a song once but then it turns out no could beat a particular song so they lowered it to TLOM. To think, it used to be the first 11-footer...I think I have it, but it doesn't really sound original. The Maxx to the XXXimum is a blend of The Legend of Max, Max 300, Maxx Unlimited, and Maxx Resurrection, which was not made by Naoki unless DJ Demon is another one of Naoki's "codenames".

There are a few good ITG songs but I really like the selection in DDR. As for that 11-foot DDR Song.... How do you have it? And where could I get it? =P

Bemanistyle. I'm not sure it's the original but...I guess it could be. If you don't wanna sign up, go here:

it's somewhere on that page. It's not my page either. I just found it at random.
Max to the XXXimum is 400-200-100-400 btw. It's no wonder it's 11 either. Give Mei a run for it's money...

like every 1 of those songs are off beat and the only 1s with good steps were xximum and max paranoia.

I personally enjoy the challenge of ITG when ddr gets old, but ddr is by FAR my #1 because of it's smoth natural feel. plus all ddr songs are doable without bar-raping while you can technically do pandy on expert with no bar, it's not fun.

A lot of people sims are a few off in the offset. Max paranoia was not that good in my opinion. I'm refferring to the song.\

Some edit later: Apparently, Max to the XXXimum is probably a remix from Dm Ashura. The Maxx ResurexXion part is by DJ Demon who is (from what I heard) DM Ashura. So, either that Max to the XXXimum is a fake, the whole rumour is a lie, or Maxx RessurexXion was made AFTER Max to the XXXimum.

I never played ITG. I should try it one day. I do know that there's this guy at my local arcade who used to be a DDR FREAK. He used to play it a million times a day, every day. Now he's hooked on ITG. I don't really have the longing to play ITG. DDR is more brighter and plus I already know the music and whatever.. so yeah, imma have to go with DDR.
