Can I play even if I only look at the forums 1-3 times a day?

Yes. As long as you go on AT LEAST once (very very very preferably more) a day for a little while, you should be fine. If you do not go on more than once a day, you will probably not be able to respond to some discussion. You can still play this way, but the more you can be on, the better (3-4 times a day, or 1 long session, should be fine). Everybody, PM me if they have objections to this.

Oh- another thing- talking in AIM (or any other messenger) conversations is permitted while in the game. If any of the players do not have some sort of messenger (preferably AIM), I recommend that you get it now.

No, AIM is 100% necessary. People may become suspicious of you if you aren't available to talk back and forth in the way that AIM allows.
