because apostrophes and quotation marks are often used in coding to show the beginning and end of a value. That apostrophe will make it seem like his name is only "DS"

So if a persons username was "Tex 's Socks" (yes, WTF username), then all the tokens THEY got would show up to me?

ban evading for any reason at all is apparently a perma ban for the alt and extension for the main.

ban evading for any reason at all is apparently a perma ban for the alt and extension for the main.

The permabanning of alts for ban evasion is usually only applied (By me anyway) when the evasion account is created -after- the main was banned, or when the evasion alt is used to continue flagrantly breaking rules. My usual approach to ban evasion when someone simply moves onto another established account is to just ban both for the newly increased ban length on the main.

You play against your friend, and your friend keeps losing, booing out. I am pretty sure that's how it would work.

I didn't know that's what you meant. I thought you meant he would use the alt to pwn noobs and just get his alt's MP level up. Yes, logging into two names at the same time to raise your MP level is against the rules.

P.S.: Excuse my backseat-modding, but IMO he (his alt) shouldn't have been banned. He wasn't intentionally ban-evading.

Tass - That is a bit of a lie though isn't it, I mean people have got their names changed. What about Tibs (who used to be -Tibs-) and Squeek of course, I think there have been one or two others but I'm only completely sure about the 2 I mentioned.

There's a difference between "We will occasionally do a favour for a long-time contributing veteran to the site, and if it so happens that what they'd like is a name change, maybe we can come to some arrangement" and "If you ask us, we'll change your name"

Also, just so we're clear: I know nothing about any name changes that have ever happened, or why they might have happened, I'm just pointing to a distinction, not referencing any sort of policy as I'm aware of it. So far as I've ever seen, no account names have ever been changed.

I'm just bitter because I was in talks with JasonKey about changing my name, then going through the proper motions of emailing Synth etc etc and nothing ever happened. Was told it doesn't get done, then later suddenly Tibs had his changed for him and it just seemed a little bias.

So ya, bitter.
