Nothing's wrong with the Print Screen - Paint method, it's just easier to do it this way. Just like nothing's wrong with writing out a letter by hand and mailing it; it's just much easier to do it by email.

See I was posting this so people dont have to hassel the print screen thing, Why would you want to do something that takes less than 10 secs when it takes more than like a minute to do your way.

It takes 5 seconds at most to do it the paint way. Your method would save your pictures as random names right? Or picture 1, picture 2, etc? What if you want to save it as something else like Club AAA, etc? Would you have to go and find the picture and rename it?

Also 1 min for you might be a few seconds for someone else, so of course your method would be helpful to some.

Yeah Thats true, some people may find it faster there way, the way they have been doing it, and also It may be faster to just do it the way I am doing it.

Yeah Commander It saves the picture as sorta random stuff but, You can always re-name.

My main point was If you need the shot right then and there press the hot key and you are right there with the screen frozen to take the picture.

Wow, I just tried it. It does work. You press your hot key, select the area you want to print screen, and then let go. It will tell you what it named the picture as.

I hate when I judge stuff before using it. I will still use the paint method because I am old fashioned, but this program does work great. Sorry for arguing with you.

What if your butt was wiped in the wrong spot, because it misjudged and you got a painful cut on your butt.... OUCH!

Is there a program where you can preset the crop size, so like I can take mutiple SS's for an animated gif of ffr.......

How would you get a cut? Don't those auto-cleaner-thingamajigs use jets of water?

Yeah, if you try it out, you'll realize that this program really is useful. The only thing that would help out a lot draws on what Commandersa1 said; being able to name your screenshots right after you select them (like in a little dialog box) would be ideal. But as it is, it's simple enough to just go to the saved folder and rename files if one so desires (previews do exist, after all).

Vista has this tool called snipper or something. Pretty useful. You just drag a box around the content and it crops it any everything.

I just keep paint opened all the time.

Way easier then running another program that takes up more cpu.

I use Wisdom-Soft and it's great. All you do is click "Capture", scroll over what you want to SS, and then let go. Then, just go to photobucket.com, upload the photo, and copy and paste the image link into your FFR post. Simple.
