Here is a suggestion for a new genre: Spread.
It would be a genre for spread players, and in that genre, and only that genre, songs were allowed to have hands.

It would be awesome.

Why?
There are a lot of index songs, and a lot of songs that are doable with one hand.
But there are no songs with hands.

No!!! I don't like it!!!! lol jk. It isn't that hard to get hands with index, you just have to switch to 4 finger every time there's hands.

This would be more of a category of style choice than a genre of song.

If there was a "Spread" genre, I don't think that the songs should count toward your average rank, as that would (HE DID NOT JUST GO THERE) be unfair to people that play other styles.

I'm against the idea, simply because song genres are not the same thing as types of playing styles. Plus that, it isn't always exactly clear if a simfile is more index-friendly or spread-friendly (or whatever-style friendly).
Also, people playing FFR casually who don't know what spread or index is may not even understand why there would be a separate genre for fingering styles. "Spread" and "index" are terms used by players more familiar to FFR; the game however should be made for everybody to play without trying to become familiar with such in-game terms.

how 'bout...there are two ways two seperate songs: genres and styles. you click on genres, you get arcade, d2, etc. you click on styles you get index, one-hand, spread, etc. but it would take too much time. lol.

The reason there are no hands is because they don't register on alot of peoples arrow keys, not because of style disadvantages.

Even if we added them, I rather it was in 3rd style with a little menu that pops up on the side that went something like this

Jumps: 500
Hands: 500
BPM Changes: 4
