      Re: iironiic's little experiment

Supposedly, you're supposed to be looking at the bottommost number (14.688). That is really off though... hmm.

I'm getting different results though... Maybe you aren't pasting it in the exact same way? . Oh, I know... you aren't using the most recent one.

So your score would be 11.140625 corresponding to a rating of 2169 using the formula (bottommost value that is not "NOT ENOUGH AAA's")

That spreadsheet...is like...so useful and helpful it isn't even funny. Love it. VERY useful tool for calculating these "ranks". Guess I need to go clean up some VC's and AAA, that way my number accurately reflects my skill lol. My "rank" right now is like 9-10 range and I'm AAAing FMO's and almost FGO's now. lol.

            Re: iironiic's little experiment

I wonder if the admins are considering implementing it. Chances are that they have other priorities to worry about. It would be nice to see this one day and I hope this will be considered.

I also talked to qqwref about my idea. He didn't like the conversion to a four point scale because ratings like those are used to determine how well you compete against others vs. what one is expected to AAA. Maybe I can try to devise a formula to convert MP level into some four digit rating.

              Re: iironiic's little experiment

If you did that we'd need some decimal places on those MP ranks showin :P

I was chatting with Velo, and he basically said that he likes the idea, but isn't really sure how to link it to automatically pull your levelranks and plug it in. I don't know if he had see that spreadsheet though, when I talk to him next I'll bring it up again.

Or you know, he could come in here and see my post and say what he has to say.

                Re: iironiic's little experiment

I'm going to make a major bump here and suggest that because there are many teams (varying of skills with Indeed being geared towards the "more competitive" side and other teams filled with varying amount of people), I will try (if I find time) to come up with a reasonable scoring system for team tournaments so that it is more fair for a team with lesser skilled people to play against someone like Team Indeed. I would hate to put this idea to waste if it wasn't going to be used for anything, so might as well make a "seemingly intelligent" system be put to use.

I should also put this in my signature in case if I ever want to refer to this.

                Any thoughts about this?

I have some ideas right now, but I'm going to call it a night since I have a migraine all day. I'll come up with something asap.

Seems like a great idea, good work with the formula, must have put lots of effort into it. I got 11.47 or something from my pure FMO calculation, but I'm a bit fuzzy on how to move on to the FGO part with 1.25 per FGO AAA, do you just apply the FGO formula with adding the 12 and then just add that to the 11 equation? In which case, since I only got .01 for the FGO formula without adding the 12, my total would be 11.48 then?
It's getting better all the time
I used to get mad at my school (No, I can't complain)
