VS Boss Battle is free and 2mil points when FC'd and only a minute long :P

The nps throughout the file is the exact reason why people choose VS Boss Battle for this. For the time that it would take to fc FFLBF and RWOB (trill section too stronk), you can get way more by whoring VS Boss Battle.

Also, VS Boss Battle can be easily mashed through without failing out prior to the end.

As I'm looking at this, I see VS Boss Battle is the most played in order to achieve 1bil GT in a day, but I always though RWOB and FFLBF were the best to alternate (2 plays would get you 10mil if you FC'd both)

but then I just realized you'd need the credits to play both of those songs and VS Boss Battle is free and 2mil points when FC'd and only a minute long :P

It's not about credits at all - I think almost everyone who's attempting this challenge has the credits for all the secret songs. The trick is that FFR is combo scorin, and that you don't get any bonus for finishing a song. So the best strategy is to play until you break combo (or the song ends) and then restart immediately. It follows that instead of a long song, you want a song with a high notes per second, and VS Boss Battle is a pretty easy one for how dense it is.

Now it makes me wonder how this would be achieved if Combo Scoring was eliminated entirely.

It's one of my goals as a player to at least attempt to get this, but it gets boring playing the same song over and over again. I played for like 3 hours one day and alternated anything from 80-89 and got 130mil+, and yet that seemed like forever @_@

I made sure I got just enough points to get ahead of them for that reason hahaha.

You have to be able to endure a bit a pain and a LOT of boredom. I mashed VS Boss battle for about 18 hours total that day. (I took a five hour nap after reaching a billion which was wonderful hahaha)

Both charts you mentioned have terrible average density, and would not get you over the 1 billion mark. Even charts like Yoshii Cookie and Famouz have higher average densities, but fall short of the billion mark if played all day.

Back in the day, (before vs boss battle) people generally used EHHS mixed in with less stamina draining songs like the ones I mentioned above.

FFLBF takes two minutes before it even gets dense

If only isolation a counted for GT/credits ...
Then people would whore the skeleton wall for max GT lol

If Isolations counted, wouldn't Husigi's wall and anything like TLDNE ending or even a section of Serious Shit would get you more?
