You must not be very smart if you thought playing a game that requires you to tap the keyboard loudly while being in a almost dead silent environment of people reading and studying was a good idea. I'd kick you out, pretty obvious its going to be annoying people.

I am so glad that I have my own computer, with my own keyboard, and my own room. No one ever bothers me about playing FFR... well, except my mom occasionally.
So I've returned. Maybe I can stick around for awhile.

In all seriousness, I always try my best to play on a computer away from people, as I know its loud. Someone sat next to me, and I didn't realize it because I had headphones on. I always look around between songs to make sure there is no one nearby, but she complained immediately. I have a laptop here in my dorm, but its pretty old and lags a lot when I try to play FFR on it(which is odd, because it runs SM fine.). There's a church nearby with a lobby area that people can hang out in all the time, and it has a computer, so I'll play on it too sometimes. Anyway, point is, I realize the library isn't the greatest place for FFR, but I play it there because I can't here in my room.

What's the lesson in that? Get a better laptop. Or even a decent desktop if possible.

I played some FFR in my programming class today and my teacher said, "Hey! Stop that! You're going to break my keyboard!"
Then he tried throwing me off by making my computer lag every 3 seconds. He failed, so he took over my screen.
So I've returned. Maybe I can stick around for awhile.

Same here. I hear things like "How do you do that?" and "That's crazy" and even "How do you even see all those arrows?"

I love the reactions on people's faces when I play FFR in front of them.

We're not showing off, we are playing FFR and people are watching us. If we were showing off, we would say to people "Hey everyone! Watch me play this amazingly difficult song!"

Re: Got kicked from the Library....

I'm glad there are still libraries which enforce rules like this. At my current university library they are afraid of acting on anything short of a riot. In the central study area there are invariably some students holding loud conversations both in-person and on cellphones, in addition to putting their headphones to "I can hear your goddamn snare drum halfway across the room" levels. Even though the library has a "SILENCE YOUR CELL PHONES" sign, no one does anything.

Recently this university radio station was blasting music outside our library so loudly that you could hear the chorus and feel the bass kick from the inside of the library. They did nothing; even after the police were called they did nothing. I eventually went outside and, pretending to be a worker at the library, threw a torrent of swear words in the face of the person running the music. The volume was lowered instantly.
