K, read my edited post.
1) It's not realistic that casual gamers will beg for credits to everyone they know (and their friends might not have all that much either). It only seems natural to FFR's social community, and to be honest, that's just a small fraction. Tha's a narrow point of view.
2) Suggesting ways to gain credit isn't the main purpose of my suggestion. It's about addressing the fairness issue. Heck, you can trade credits right now and get what secret songs you've lost. Why don't you tell the others this?
3) If you want songs earnt from your hard work that doesn't involve credit swapping, perhaps make more skill tokens.

How about this idea:
- Secret songs are unlocked not by credits but by a more or less equivalent amount of GTS.
- Credits are a mode of currency only. You can use them to buy purchased songs and for trading among users.

So that way, secret songs will stay unlocked forever once you have them, and trading credits will not do anything to help unlock secret songs.

Charge a small amount for sending credits. Something like 1,000 credits. Anything smaller is easily obtained by us advanced players (30+ credits per play at an average right?).

Yes, this may be an inconvenience for donations and such. But it's not that difficult to earn 1,000, but it stops those from tossing around credits without playing the game.

I doubt I'll ever get it back again (not enough HC gamer I guess) and i'm very disapointed. We already lost final fantasy 6 boss battle (the old one that got deleted because of CopyRight which was the most awesome FFR song to play), and now we're stuck with easy cid theme and not-so-cool FF3 Boss...

I don't play much at all anymore, but I think shuffling songs into Secret for "game balance" is a bit far fetched.

What the hell is "game balance" in a rhythm game? Was FFLBF too OP?

Well it sounds like the idea of a grandtotal being a better measure of overall gameplay to get secret songs is a good suggestion, as opposed to credit amount, which is highly dynamic and is something that can be lost (while grandtotal remains your grandtotal). Dunno what to say about the "charge a small amount of credits to discourage large credit trades" idea.
