Dead and Direct - fun song, you won't get tired. (low priority, reason: length)
Perfect Cherry Storm - if you're good at bursts, this is it.
Battle Theme 37 - mid priority.
Jeanie and Caroline - fun short song.
Hajnal - fun, not hard, just be good @ steady jumpstream (low priority, long)
AIM Anthem - easy, just jacks, no bursts and all that bullcrap
RunnyMorning - jacks are hard, but it's fun / easy.
Caprice - easy peasy lemon squeezy
Club - short, easy to whore

Dead and Direct - fairly long, there's some bogus patterns, tiny possibility
Perfect Cherry Storm - I'm not, tiny possibility
Battle Theme 37 - those jacks are killin me dawg, akward js is akward, small possibility

Just because it's apart of the game, does not mean it can't be considered cheating. It's also funny how you say you can see anything but mirror, cheating. It does the same thing as left and right; changes the step pattern. Just because it doesn't distort the song as much (one-handed trills are still one-handed trills etc...) doesn't exclude it from changing the step pattern (which in any case is cheating). /rant

P.s. So if I go in StepMania right now and change patterns around (like Reach did) for my benefit, it's not cheating right?

It's not against the rules of the game, so it's not cheating. Changing around the arrows in SM is completely different. Mirror might switch it around, but the steps are still the same. Left and right completely change the file.

It doesn't have to be against the rules. Use it as you wish but in any case I still see it as cheating because it's changing the step pattern which destroys the point of the song being stepped the way it is.

As for SM being "totally different", not really. If I use Left on a song in SM, it's just as bad as going in edit mode and changing the step file. Your trying to benefit yourself either way. Oh, it's also apart of the game and the game doesn't say it's cheating so it's cool right? Bad argument.

So long as it displays that you did it in left (Oh right, it does) I don't see the problem. The same with FFR, it displays that you did it on mirror. It's not like people are trying to pass of mirror as regular.

Lol, you actually make a couple bad points here.

Cheating is breaking the rules. If you're not breaking the rules like you say, then you are not cheating. Don't contradict yourself.

What about the fact that mental blocks occur when one plays spread and needs to change the way a pattern looks in order to relieve oneself of that mental block? What about a part of the song that you may be good at on mirror, but another part of a song that you may be bad at on mirror? All you're taking to account is how the file is changed, but that's all subjective, and differentiates with every individual.

I do agree with you on one point: Step-files are actually constructed strategically (for the good step-artists anyways,) that actually go with different tones of a song (letting one step a certain pattern if a tone changes a certain way), so using mirror would simply fail to reciprocate the intended vibe that the step chart tries to convey.

Thing a lot of people assume about mirror is that they are using it to make the file right hand dominate, but think there are people out there that are naturally left handed and are using mirror for their case. So even though many people are right handed naturally, need to think of those who are using to make it left handed friendly which in most eyes is making the file harder but for them they are doing the same for when you use mirror.
