I really don't like this 'play spread' thing
playing spread doesn't mean you're achieving objectively better scores. it's easier to FC and AAA yes but because you're using an easier style. what it does do though is give you access to more simfiles faster since most of them are in the VD-VC range.
edit: freezes is what ddr calls long or hold notes. when the notes stop moving it's called a bpm stop or just a stopPatashu makes Chiptunes in Famitracker:

I said to use two styles, but I do think everyone should at least try spread, I play spread and index, and certain styles are better for certain songs, but people should all at least know how to play spreadIt's getting better all the time

You forget to mention how to even improve your stamina. I don't know how you spread players do it (It'd be nice to know some song examples seeing as I'm training on spread more often now.)
I know for index a good stamina/endurance practice is to actually play songs one handed (Once on each hand.) Songs such as Secret Zombie Room, Save Me, Abyss downbeat, V1. and doing the majority of jacks in AIM one handed helps to. When you can FC those with a decent PA (That means SDG people.) I suggest whoring {Blaze}, {Rose} and Vertex Beta. (Using two hands this time.)
Also on the SM portion don't say we'd never let some of those hard (****) files into FFR, we have RATO and DP and a few other loads of garbage (Almost There) in here.
I know there's no way to make the perfect guide for this but I hope something I said helps in some way.Comment

Half of the SM songs make RATO look like a For Beginners song, I mean, 1 minutes edit? Hamsin edit? yikes

I just started getting into SM again (tried it before didn't really like it) and it's becoming increasingly fun. I've always thought it would be a good idea to make stepfiles for yourself with certain patterns to practice on. With FFR there seems to be a point where the skill of the player has surpassed the hardest challenges the game is capable of producing, I mean there's no better rank than 1. I guess you move onto stepmania. There should be a Teir Point System for SM to see who is the real Arrow Jedi. There could be a specific songpack made up just for Teir Ranking. Just a thought. My avg. rank is 3181 so I don't really need to worry about it right now
