Those are cool stories. I actually read all of it. I once saw a video of people doing a DDR competition, thought it was wicked awesome, and one day saw someone playing this at my school. I took down the site (this is barely over a month ago) and have been addicted ever since. Relative to some of your stories I think I've progressed really rapidly. Some of you probably saw my best accomplishments post as well as my FC Chart. I think everyone should fill out one of those...Comment

My brief FFR history:
About two summers ago, I became an very active member of the DDRFreak forums, when I wasnt on the forums, I was either playing CS or Stepamania/Beatmania. So, a month or so passed when I noticed a new post called "Flash Flash Revolution". Curious, I checked it out. It was a major disappointment, for it wasnt this site, but the newgrounds 'FFR' (and for those of you who havent played it...you are lucky). So about another month passed, and a new thread came up called Flash Flash Revolution. Thinking it was probably the same newgrounds flash game...or something to do with Disco (how I got that idea is beyond me), I ignored it. But after about a day or so, I caved in and played checked it out.
Wow, was all I could say. I was so impressed. The first song I played was Story of Snowman and Sunshine Girl. I asked Synthlight if he would be willing to allow some of my songs on the game. He respond "Yeah sure" or something of that sort. I gave the link to all my friends...blah blah blah.
Then, while bored at a LAN party, I decided to go play some FFR. But I didnt get the usual plain black page...but an actually website. So I exited and tried again thinking I got the address wrong. Nope, same site. I thought FFR was gone....but then I realized "Hey! This is FFR". I registered that same day.
The rest is pretty well explained by the other stories. I just thought, since I have been around since day two (or three), I'd tell the beginning.
What I really want to hear is Synth's story....Comment

I can't remember the date of the first radio show I did..but it was with Sashcat...we did a couple of them..and I wish now that I recorded them...
But it was funny..because the first one only had 10 or so listeners...then 20...and now it gets up to 50-60 people. ...
I also remember when I first found the site and talked to Synthlight... about putting up dendrite..and then he messaged me about making a short edit because he put it on his playlist and couldn't stop listening to it even after an hour straight.
Really.. that was the first time I ever got any sort of compliment on that level for my music., and i think that is why I remember the moment so well.

Hey freak. I know you live in toronto so you must have heard of pacific mall.. the mall thats 120% asian. Its on Steels and kenedy. If you have the money / want ddr extreme go there. there are more then a few places you can get your ps2 modded ($100 - $150 depending where u go. if you are interested let me know) and usually you get a few games with it. Since you have a pad and no game i suggest going and getting your ps2 modded. for the price of 2 mediocre games you get a mod chip and 3 dvd games. i know this sounds like an add.. but its what i did. I have a connection at the mall. i get free games when i bring some1 to get thier ps2 modded.. so that place im connected with is a good one. its $100 and 3 games. its called fun desk (engrish w00t) yea so check it out with some friends or your parents. even if you are just going to look , the arecade on the top floor has every bemani gameComment

I came here in early may but for some reason never joined the forums until september. I have no idea why I never joined O_o anyway.. I was hooked form the start. I remember my friend showing me the site and he played terror form beyond, he did fairly well then I tried and totally died the whole way. its kinda funny now that I am like 2x better than he is and he still plays as much as I do.Comment
