Yes, I know. I'm currently expecting to see it finally released sometime in 2008. Adding an acceptable amount of songs shouldn't be much of an issue, though. Bugs, however, will be.

      Wooo!
      Third style.

Maybe in three years, someone random will come and kill all of us, including Shash. =O

      (In the game, of course.)

Really? They seemed to have a problem with 2nd style. >_>

There was like what? 15-20 songs on there? If 3rd is anything like 2nd, I'm not looking forward to it.

3rd style will be a lot more like r1, since it is going to replace r1, but add more features, including a new and improved interface, speed mods, (and probably some other mods, too) and more songs.

Would it also replace r2? Because I really have no clue why it's still even around. Does anyone play it?

Very few people play r2, but 3rd style will not replace it.

I'd like for it to be more like R2, actually. I like R2, just not the crappy song selection and countless bugs.

Well, I used to have dreams about 3rd style, and how it would be the most awesome thing ever, and was so exciting long ago when there was a CHANCE it was going to be released. Now, I'm not sure if it's going to be a good thing or a bad thing.

I do. I feel as if adding marvelous timing to FFR would diminish any hopes for me to be a top player XP (not sure this could be implemented at all with a 30 fps flash game). The only thing I don't like is the average/miss jack glitch, predictably, but that itself is a unique obstacle and skill to master and overcome in FFR, as shown by people like Shashakiro (AAA FoL, LW4?!?! Hellbeat?!?!!!!!!!!!)

Standards of decent skill will be HEAVILY raised in three years. I haven't been here all three or four years of this site, but I heard Rondo was once considered an extremely difficult song.

I think everyone needs to remember that if and when R3 is released, everyone will hate it for the first few days. I mean, you've been playing R1 for so long and loving it, not matter how awesome it ends up, you won't recognize it at first. You'll spend the first few seconds judging it like a piece of meat saying "I liked R1. R1 didn't have that. I don't like the new one."

I just hope they fix the frames per second so there are no more bs misses, and add speed mods, and do anything else, as long as they don't screw anything I really like about the game up.

In my oppinion, no mods are neccassary. Especially speed mods. I think the speed of the song should be up to step artist. I mean, if you've ever played Orion.76 on the old Konamix game for the ps1, you'd know that the song wouldn't have been at all hard if the speed was faster. The reason the song was the hardest in the game was because the speed of the arrows made them so close together that it was hard to read.

with screenshrinking, scroll speed is practically irrelevant anyway.

speed mods would just be more convenient. I see no reason not to have them.
