yeah. Someone in MP asked what my overall rank was, and thought I was too good for him when I was just under rank 200, even though my average rank was a lot higher than that. I'm rank 81 now, but at least my average rank is under 200.

Overall is rather meaningless.

Average is a good skill comparison for people who "go for average", but not for people who don't care about average.

Top Player ranking is much more accurate in general, although IMO it's not perfect as of yet...it still needs some tweaking, I think.

Ehhhh don't feel bad I just started feeling like that myself...my rank is really good, but I'm not that good...less I have a caffine high...in which case..yeahhhhhhhhhh >_>. I thought about making a New File, but I like my stupid log in ID.

Chances are I'll make a new one...it ain't right to be such a high rank only because I have an ish load of points...but rather I feel that if I started over again by the time I get back to that rank I'll be a lot more amazing. OR I could just keep my rank...keep stealing other ppls ranks (the ones who probably deserve it) and just keep getting better there....yeah evil but who cares (probaly the ppl whom are getting their ranks upper...or lower...or what ever it is that's going on >_<). I figure I play the game enough, maybe I should just be thankful to be noticed or w/e (honestly never thought I'd make it where I am)

I think I'm really starting to earn my rank...almost into the Overall top 2k...

And my Average coming down to...around...just under 4k. With a LOT more songs than before coming in under 1k. *shrugs* I'm just trying to get better...

((Yep...Over two years of playing one handed...now that I've switched to spread four finger...teehee...It works a LOT better. *shrug*))

Dude, don't worry about whether you deserve your Overall rank or not. I'm Overall rank 23 and I freakin blow at this game. As long as you don't go around being obnoxious and bragging about your overall rank like it actually means something, nobody will care if your skills are disproportionate to your rank.

Both average rank and overall rank are in your sig, but whatever. Overall ranks is just ranking everyone by their grand total score. Average rank is adding up your rank on each song, and dividing by the number of songs there are.
