I guess I'm just curious how people actually find these. And how they're just a glitch. And why they haven't just been taken out. :-p

I think they'd be a way for people to show off teh uber-ness. *shrugs*

I just found them by accident originally, and it should not be posted here how to find them. Even if you're not planning on using secret arrows, it's likely that someone else that read a description of how to find them would.

No, they are a way for a people who know how to hit lots of them to get above-AAA scores that can only be competed against by someone else also using hidden arrows. It would give the people who don't know where they are a serious disadvantage against people who do know where they are, especially in easy songs.

actually, the ubberness part is right... if you get a guy who gets all the visible arrows get a AAA, shouldnt the guy that took time out of his life to locate the arrows, and get them perfect, be rewarded somehow? maybe just a sticker you can put in your profile saying "I found all secret arrows on (song here)" and then have his score deleted?

atleast show the people that spend hours on ffr trying to make the game more interesting for everyone else that you love them!

Secret arrows are not in some specific place on different specific songs--they just randomly* appear sometimes. As LD said, they're just a glitch, one that takes no skill whatsoever to find, and no skill whatsoever to exploit. It's simply cheating. Period.

*I know it's not purely random, but it is as far as the song you're using them on is concerned.

So, judging by your example...if I'm reeeally sneaky, I can bowl with 11 pins. As long as nobody can see the 11th pin, my perfect 300 game is TOTALLY legit, right?

The bottom line is...secret arrows are not intended to be used, nor were they even intended to exist in the first place. Thus, they are just as much of a cheat as modding/hacking/etc. The highest possible score is meant to be obtained with only the arrows that are visible (graphically represented).

Oh, and the original baby analogy is one of the worst analogies I've ever seen.

LD's version is much more accurate, although this is more how I picture it:

You're in a baby-saving contest with a bunch of other people. 5 babies are thrown down a cliff, and whoever can save the most wins. A bunch of people save all 5, but you save 6 babies--4 of the original ones, plus two baby rats that also fell off the cliff at the same time. Then you go back and try to claim that you saved 6 babies, so you should win the contest. Everyone laughs at you, and someone throws a baby rat at you, which causes you to lose your balance and fall off the cliff and suffer the same fate as that one baby you didn't save because you were too busy saving some stupid rats.

Long, but fitting IMO.
