Um, to me the system seems like a more realistic way to score people into tiers. For one, it would be not only easier to place rank people, but also give a lot more possibilities for people rather than having only ten or twenty songs to choose from. They seem harder to me, as far as PA is concerned. I was closer to getting to tier 4 based on the current way it's set up. So maybe lowering the PA for a the one point scores? And also you have a AAA counting as worth both 3 and 4 points for Noir.

You may want to consider making some of the harder songs just Full combos for a point. FC'ing RondoV2 is a lot harder than getting under 15 goods on V&M.

AAAing V&M or Nior remixed is Ten times easier then getting just a FC on something like End night.
Besides, I though Tier 4 was more of a "can full combo songs, but has horrid PA." type of thing

You'll really have to weigh songs against each other. Some deserve no higher than 2, while others deserve the full 4...just make sure it's approximately as hard to get X points on any given song as any other song, and this can work ok.

Also...I'd say forget about easier songs like V+M. No one good really wants to play that, and if you include easier songs in the reqs list you'll have the Average Rank problem of people just not having the patience to sit through songs that are too easy for them, and getting penalized for that.

Alright, when I get back, I think I will rule out the easy songs, for example: Victims and Martyrs, Noir Remixed, Sky Dive, Neo Max, and Song for the Nihojins.
That would make the list 45 songs.
I will also maybe raise the 1 point requirements, seeming some are really hard. Harder songs such as Rondo I will make just Full Combos.

For songs really hard or impossible to fc, such as Pants, EHHS, OMW or Crowdpleaser, maybe one should be required to get at least a certain amount of points to get a point in the point system. The more points you get on the song, the more points you get in the point system. E.g., getting 4,800,000 points in Pants could be one point, 4,900,000 points could be 2 points etc.... An fc on Pants under 20 goods, or 5 million and something points, could be 8 points or whatever on the point system since hardly anyone could do that. This might could also be done on easier songs, as it could account for when someone gets a good and a miss on Nova Pulser for example.

Yeah, some of the 4-point ones are still atrocious.

5 on Max Forever vs AAA Klung Kung? Please. MF should be 2 or fewer at MOST for a T1 req (which is what 4-pointers are, presumably).

On that note...change the wording, because it's really supposed to be "x or fewer", not "under x". At least that's what I meant when I posted reqs at first...Gradeus's req right now implies that you have to blackflag it, which is a bit hard IMO.

EDIT: Person above me, those scores are both above AAA for Pants, lol. Everything harder than Caprice should just be discounted entirely IMO, because it's too hard to FC those songs and going off of combo is just silly.

That could be possible, but Pants or Crowdpleaser are too tedious to add to normal tiers; they are hard and should be left for tier one IMO.
Score ranking could be used for some songs yes, but I think leaving it to a certain number of goods is easier to deal with.

I like this idea a lot. I'm just worried about the amount it would take to put this into action. Also, might there be a way to code a scoring system such as this? Or would this be way too complicated of an Idea to code? If not I think the initial set-up and point decisions for songs would be hard, but it would turn into a computer generated system. So let's say I went and AAA Cutting Circles, the system would recognize it as being worth 4 points from that song then send it to storage system for your name. It could have tier requirements and even a ranking system based on points. Or maybe I'm thinking way to much about this idea.

Total score is a completely silly way of posting what a req is, since no one has a clue what any given total score on a certain song actually MEANS.

Call me arrogant, but I think the score-reporting system I used in the tourney is the one that always ought to be used...easy to type out, and easy to understand.

They points system is similar a weighted average level rank, right? Looks good.

Tier 4 just got 100% harder to get into. Not really a complaint, more of an observation.

Initially I thought that the requierments for the tiers wouldn't change. Just that If someone in tier four accomplished a tier two requierment it would be worth maybe two points for getting into tier three. Instead of the single point for the tier three requierment.

Having points being awarded for achieving a certain total score on at least the hard songs would help a few achieve a higher tier I'm sure. Some people probably have comparatively better speed than accuracy and could get a good combo on a song like Pants or EHHS but couldn't get good enough pa on easier songs to match that skill level. Someone could have Tier 4 pa but be able to get a 2000 combo on Pants with a total score of 5,000,000 or so and therefore achieve a higher tier such as Tier 3.

I didn't mean having it based off total score but. My idea now to me seems too complicate so I'll drop it. And I agree that tier 4 is now WAY harder to get in to. Only because it seems like there might be more opportunities but the PA seems harder.

5 mil on Pants is impossible. 2000 combo would get you about 3.7 mil.

Also, tier reqs based on non-FC combos is retarded. Miss counts might be incorporated, but I personally don't even really like that idea.

If you have speed, you should be able to FC certain songs...and that'll get you points by itself (assuming Scott updates some of those reqs).
