What created the difficulty in the end is that at first I made the steps just fun for me. After that, I went back and tried to make the steps indexer friendly by removing patterns that couldn't be indexed, and by repairing transitions so that they were index-able.
I guess I screwed up, because no matter how many times I did it, I guess I still missed some indexer-unfriendly transitions, and in trying to fix the indexer-unfriendly transitions, I made some steps much more technically difficult than I initially intended them to be.
My intention was for a file that went from dominant beat to dominant beat, sampling all the subtle layers of the music, without being random or to difficult, but this was complicated when I tried to repair my initial stepfile to be index-able. I guarantee if I had submitted my first version, indexers would hate it 10 times more and others would probably think it was 10 times better, but I'm far from having satisfied both parties and I apologize for this.
