    Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

K8107 = FMO; I have absolutely no clue why that was dropped.
SC = VC - the jumpstream speed is slow and it has only a few bursts that are fairly easy?

Personally I think Southern Cross has more room to miss the AAA than K8107 does. I'd say Southern Cross is easier than K8107, but it's length balances it out. I just don't understand why they are VC if files that are considered easier are FMO's.

      77 (P) Silence (1482 Notes / BPM 140)

Why is Silence a 77? Silence is like taking Southern Cross and playing at .7 speed. Why would Silence be considered just as hard as Southern Cross at any time...or for that matter harder than Going on Spring Wind, or the other FMO's that are only 76's? This confuses me quite a bit. Sure the jump-stream lasts a while, but it isn't like it is fast or really complex so why a 77?

Ever considered the ridiculous offsync of the file? That and the constant 16th jumpstreams for nearly the entire song makes this unanimously an FMO. Some people find blue-arrow files harder to read too. The file's about how long you can last without screwing up.

            Song is rated a 77, but is a VC...yeah.

Even though Silence is offsync, it's offsync by exactly 1/16th of a note, which makes the chart pretty simple for an FMO.

              Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

I'd make both Southern Cross and K8107 76's, low FMO's. They are FMO, but they are lowest possible. And K8107 IMO is much harder than Southern Cross, but Southern Cross should never be VC, who did that? Silence is 75, fine like that. I STILL hate Feldschlatt and want it a 76 but what/ev. Why is GoSW 76? Move that to 77, and FotBB to 80.

Seriously, EHHS NEEDS to be dropped to like 78/77, has most AAA's of an FMO and is a complete joke compared to half of the higher ranked songs, Setsoujou is like 78 and is MUCH harder, same with Night and Day, Dead and Direct, etc. EHHS NEEDS to be moved down.

                I blackflagged both.

Also, I don't know if this is just me.. but Rondo Alla Turca & V2 are both harder than a lot of VCs like Tambourin Chinois, Mute City Remix, and a few others.

You've also listed very low VCs, so naturally, the difference between what you're good at and what you're bad at (pattern-wise) might make up this difference.

Well Rondo Alla Turca & V2 both have some pretty weird patterns and are both pretty long, while Tambourin Chinois is 1:09 long, has maybe one pattern that's easy to messup on, which is 5 arrows long. And I don't see how anybody could think Mute City Remix is harder than either Rondo Alla Turca's.

But yeah, you're right, that could be the difference.

                      Re: R1 - Actual Song Difficulties V2

imo the solution to the heavy/oni problem is to have a token half way between them that drops on a certain set of VCs (probably mid to high tier VCs or just high tier VCs)

that way if you could get old oni you can get new half-oni

Doesn't really matter considering that it's 16th jumpstreams at the same BPM through pretty much the entire song, meaning you can overlook sync and just play at the same pace until the ending. Although if you have trouble doing this, turning off the speakers would ensure you the easy score if you can AAA files like southern cross and k8107.

As far as blue arrow files being harder to read...I suppose it depends on the person. Although unless the file is utter crap it really shouldn't matter what color the arrows are unless a person who has trouble looking at a certain color because it strains your eyes or something.

This song is not FMO material in my opinion, it is just way too slow to have any significant difficulty. Unless you want to add in a redundant factor, I really don't undrstand how it can be considered a 77. Maybe a higher VC, but definately not an FMO.

silence is mindnumbing. if you don't get it in one go you'll get worse and worse because of how tedious it is to play

Just compare Southern Cross and Silence to being FMOs.

Silence only has jumpstream throughout the file and it's too slow to be considered an FMO. Southern Cross is longer and a bit faster than Silence, the only different thing Southern Cross has are the short bursts.
