Also, K8107 is the hardest VC. That or it's a low FMO, because I can consistently do better on other songs than this one. No idea why it got lowered.
Personally, I don't think that's true. if you can trill well, it's actually really easy.

I have no idea why K8107 is a VC, and I'm sure a lot of other people will agree. That song could pass as a FMO better than most of the contested VC/FMO files could.

and Amen Iraq isn't a 12, high 11 is pushing it

        Re: Ingame Song Information

I'd definitely say it'd be a low FMO. The patterns with the jumpstream-trills at the end are quite difficult for a lot of users, and some of the streams are awkward to combo/PA. Adding to that, the trills, although easy to some people, are quite quick, long, and change hands frequently. I'd say it's a low FMO, not high VC. It's harder than a more than a few FMO songs.

For Amen Iraq, it's on the fence. It has quite a few hard bursts, some awkward patterns, and a consistent fast tempo and a decent NPS. I personally think that some of the harder parts of the song push it over the top, and I'd go with a low FGO.

Amen Iraq is fine where it is.
The most BS song for FMO is Novo Mundo, that shit should be a 10. Play it.

Yeah, I am pretty sure it's a 10. It's not like I am good at it, and am complaining, I'm actually annoyed because it's easier than alot of 10 songs.

I get better scores on plenty of harder FMOs.

That 4-0-0-0 was a fluke run. Here is what I just got on it in 3 tries.

K8107 is a VC for the same reason Teh Tricky Techno is a 9. Sure if you can't do it, you dump goods everywhere on the trilljump garbage, but once you can do it, its easily AAAable.

Lol this just says that you don't know what you're talking about.

So let me give what I feel is the correct explanation. (Feel free Aj or someone else to correct me in some spots.)

Teh Tricky Techno is a 9 for the same reason Famouz is a 9. They're both to short to be ranked up with other 10s despite songs like Be Princess or Aztec Templing and even Mute City (Remix) [subjectively] being easier to PA.

Another example of a (seemingly) underrated song is Mutant Core. The song is very short and under a minute, but I would bet you a good deal that it'd be an FGO if it was exactly 1:30 long assuming it maintains the difficulty already there.

Final example is World Tour 2004. The song is 8 minutes long, though it bounces between being a low 8 to a mid 10 (subjective) it sits at an FMO difficulty rated.

In short: The length of these songs is the reasoning of their difficulty along with the chart it's self. This is not always the case however.

Also the "can you do it" section of judging difficulties doesn't apply at all (ever.) It's based off speed of the song (BPM), notes per second (NPS), sometimes time, and the overall difficulty to PA/FC in terms of framers and the like (see Fall Silently as an example of this.)

Edit: Also I suggest we lower Novo and bump up K8107. Novo is quite honestly easier than Didji PIC or whatever the hell it's called.

and that Beadmagen song for sure. Go play it if you need to know what I am talking about. Didj PVC is like 25% harder than Novo Mundo.

There are a LOT of VCs nowadays that are harder than what the VC-FMO cutoff ought to be.

Honestly, at this point, the only consistent solution would be to lower every single FMO that is too easy to unlock Oni. That's how bad the difficulty ranking has gotten

Not going to pull subjective manais and asked it to be moved up, but Halcyon is definitely the hardest FMO I have ever played, and after playing some moderate FGO's and high FMO's, it's by far my worst and the most draining, challenging, and just plain absurd FMO I have yet to come across (this implies future, since I've played every song in this game god knows how many times).
It's getting better all the time

Let's discuss this page a bit. I know a huge difficulty overhaul may be in the works, but for now I just have to vent about this page.

Let's start with Halcyon. I still think it is clearly a 12, but if we are going to keep it an 11, it sure as hell better be harder than every other FMO in D2. Heck, the only FMO I think that comes even close to it (other than Club lol but that doesn't count ) is Mutant Corecore, which really, REALLY needs to be bumped up.

Of Course you need me is badly misplaced. I know it is subjective (and I will probably get stoned for this), but I can AAA it on command. It is just ridiculously straight forward. I sightread Crash up against the inevitable.... so I don't even know what to say about it. It feels simple to me, but I can see why people think it is hard.

Aim burst and PCS could be flipped, but I think it is fine. PCS is easily jumptrilled, but the jump stream is easy to get mindblocked on. Aim Burst is pretty relentless from start to finish. It is tough to AAA, but very easy to get a SDG.

No purpose Flour and Toxiferous should be switched. Toxiferous is tough to PA, but it can be jumptrilled. Furthermore, it can be "learned", meaning that there are definitely some patterns that can be analyzed and exploited, making a AAA not TOO tough (although it is definitely tough, don't get me wrong). NPF, on the other hand, has some brutal rolls, one particularly brutal roll (about 70 percent through), and that nasty up down trill jack thingy. Overall, I think it is the second toughest FMO on this page, even pushing FGO status along with Halcyon.

Now on to the 12s. I think the order from Time to Eye down is fine, although I think LGC could be put above 11ELEVEN. Crowdpleaser, however, is really bad. I know, I know..... it has one tough section and the rest is a 9. Blah Blah Blah. But let's use RAN as a comparison (which is rated WAY harded than CP). Ran is basically a low 10 outside of it's tough trill section. Sure, there is a burst or two earlier in the song that is tricky, but overall it is a very simple song outside of that 20 second section. CP, likewise, is a 9 or 10 ish outside of the megatrill. Like RAN, it has another toughish section (the double burst which, to me, is VERY tough, I have never come close to AAAing). That being said, it just seems incredibly stupid to have CP above TTE. Just think about that for a second.... yeah. I think it should be placed near A quick death. The scoreboard speaks for itself.

So in conclusion, my new page order would be:

                                PCS
                                Aim Burst
                                Of Course you need me
                                Crash up against the inevitable
                                Toxiferous Dystopia
(all below this could be 12s)
                                No purpose flour
Halcyon (I could see this as low as after NNT)
                                Time to Eye
                                Nomina Nuda Tenemus
                                LGC
                                11ELEVEN
                                CP -- off the page

                                Thoughts on my essay ????

Also, if anyone enjoys my analysis I would be willing to do something similar for some other pages that could use some work.
