I put myself on there because I've been a mod on other forums before, and I know what to do...

Like for example, when someone talks about something that doesn't exist, instead of posting it doesn't exist, I would just lock it and edit the post to something like like "It doesn't exist, you can get banned for posting this kind of stuff"

Mods can't ban users, at least not with phpbb2, that's only in vbulletin. The most they can do to users as far as I know on phpbb2 is edit their signature, avatar, lock topics, edit posts, make announcements and stickys, etc. As far as I know only admins can ban users.

And I know you people think hyro and I go off the top often, and we do, there's no denying that, but I know how to be a mod. I'm not stupid. There WAS a forum where I had mods and I abused them like fuck but that was because I knew the admin personally and he didn't care what I did, and there were only like 100-200 users signed up.

Since I'm not on the list I had to vote for 87x because i know he likes to scan the forums and look for places to post, so i think he'd find posts that need to be modded fairly quickly.

knowing what to do doesnt make you the best choice... granted that you know a lot about being a mod, and youve earned it in a lot of ways like exp, dedication to the site, and respect from most of the users, you havent earned it peacefull-ness... you hate yanah (for saying he was better than you(not very good reason)), you hated hikkifan (because of red font(another bad reason))... and you have very little patience with n00bs...im not flaming you, i actually think your a cool guy... just i dont think you have the personality to be a peacful mod....

Eh, being a mod isn't all it's cracked up to be.

Then again, it's probably easier on a small forum like here. I'm a mod over at GameFAQs, and have to put up with tons of crap everyday. (Not to say that it's enough to make me not want to be one, but sometimes it is frustrating.)

Damn, mods over there are getting more abundant nowadays...

I remember back when it was just like 10 mods XD and he would hire like 3 mods out of a whole year, then he went on a mod hiring spree o.o

You're probably familiar with my messages in some way.. cause I get moderated an assload, even though I'm VERY VERY VERY familiar with gamefaq's TOS and know all the rules I still slip between the cracks.. usually on purpose cause I know if I get modded it'll be something minor like a loss of 3 karma or something... and my account has been thrashed so many times by.. myself, that it doesn't matter if I get modded... only stuff like suspensions/warnings really matter cause those affect my posting

Well then again maybe not cause more mods means it'll be spread out among different mods...

Heh... I have seen a few of your posts there, arch... You might want to lay off the trolling a little though, otherwise mods can automatically bump up your punishment, even for minor offenses.

And yeah, I was surprised at the latest batch of mods he hired (50!), effectively doubling the number of mods. Though I'd say he won't be hiring any more any time soon, and I guess you do need ~100 mods with a userbase of almost 250,000.

Anywho, I look at virtually every post. I go here too often, I just don't post in everything like 87x.

I know what to do for modding, it's common sense. Boom.

NessTormented would be by far the bast, but meither are here. Shizu popped a message one time, then left :razz .
