So... hmm, I give up. After 2h30 of researching what was the problem, I just can't find it.
At first I thought it was Java that wasn't up to date, but after uninstalling/reinstalling everything Java touches, it didn't work.
Thought also it was the .jar file association that was causing troubles, everything looked fine, downloaded jarfix just to make sure, didn't work either.
Tried running another executable .jar file (a Minecraft version), it worked fine.

I really can't fix the problem myself. I'm running on Windows 7 x64 btw, if that helps.
As I said before, it worked with my Mac, so it may be a compatibility problem with my OS.

To anyone who was getting crashes, please redownload the jar and try again. Almost positive this will work for everyone now, not gonna explain what I did because I would end up ranting about FFR's level rank page coding. Cheers.

Is there another way I can run your jar instead of just clicking on it?

In Windows command prompt navigate to the folder and enter java -jar <filename>
Replace <filename> with the jar you are running. You also get extra program details when you use the command line.

On that note, I get to the open file dialog but a new error showed up after that closed:

Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NumberFormatException: For input string: "2 "

Java version is 1.7.0_07

The first place that string occurs in my text file is in the first line on the second (difficulty) column. So now it is reading the file but not processing it properly.

(not sure if it was in the last update or not, just going off of the screen shot you released a bit back)

Can you make a toggle between show/hide for those things? For example, if I want to hide every song I've AAA'd and still view the full list otherwise, is that possible?

well I assume you mean show the AAAs since they are already hidden. Yes it's possible but difficult. If I can convince one my potential code helpers to work on this conversion it could come out soon but otherwise it's on the back of my to do list.

No worries, didn't know they were auto-hidden. That was my main reason for asking that anyway, since I'd want to see my ranks aside from AAA's

That is a good idea.

Uh, it works... I just figured out that it is intentionally not showing some things, but why are AAAs and Unplayed and Legacy songs hidden when "show all" is selected?

I like that it shows how many songs are unplayed. keep that in for sure.

And, problem: Once i submit a range the button stays gray and I cannot choose a new range until I select a different filter type.

Also the legacy filter does not work. Legacy songs are shown when it is trying to filter them ("0 Legacy songs removed"), and nothing shows up when I filter to show only legacy.

Finally just a preference suggestion: I think blackflags should be included with SDGs. Or have an option to toggle that. After all, '1' is a single digit.
In before someone says "so is '0'" :P

perhaps I need to make a button that literally does "show all" but right now the show all button fuctions as a "show all that ****ing matters" button. sry

the way i set up my code, showing a different difficulty range when one is already selected is difficult. there might be a way around this but as it is selecting a new filter is how i approach the problem. you can even select the same filter to reset it i believe

legacy bug sounds weird. i didnt even encounter that/works fine for me. could you be specific?

i removed blackflags from sdgs because if you care about your blackflags you can just show only them. perhaps if someone adds checkbox shit then you can show both that way.

not drunk edit: found a kinda evil bug when showing this to my friend who's new to ffr. If you have a 6 figure rank, rank and difficulty are separated by a space and not a tab. I delimit when parsing by only tabs because spaces would separate song names. Because of this the rank and difficulty will get parsed as single token causing a crash. Anyone got an idea for an easy fix? If not I'll probably leave it because anyone with a 6 digit rank probably has no use for this app lol.
