So I finished my judging earlier today. Average was a 7.03
There were some really sexy files in this group.

I know I did

honestly, I wanted to step Palms Read, but the only part of the song that interested me was the last 1:30, and stepping a 1:30 file felt like a cop out to me.
that and i thought finding a way to cut in another minute of the track after it on the album would get me in trouble.

Japan song had a lot more rhythmic variety than it probably seemed at first listen.
Plus it had a lot more actual song variation than it might first seem; for example the first two chorus sections were actually very different, as the male and female voice switched which parts they were singing. Basically every part that seemed to be a repeat had slightly different rhythms and effects on them. Each of the solos was also very layerable.

And of course TONS of room for color theory and other fun tricks.
One idea I was toying with was to take a page from Gundam-Dude's fantastic Captain Murasa's Ass Anchor here on FFR and use a different color for each of the two singers.
It worked really well in the part where they are both babbling at the same time.

not gonna lie Okochama Sensou is probably one of the best song picks in the whole stepcon in terms of how much you can do with it

also pls use transliterated titles instead of translation if some of these do get in the engine

pls
