A SINGLE TEAR

a single tear broke my heart today
as i watch the boy before me fade away.
the pain in his eyes stabbed me like a knife
he needs that glimmer of hope again.

as i watched the light fade to grey.
the shakes from his sobs that pulled me near
and near to my own tears.

as i saw the drop run across his face.

so im beggin you Lord please do Your will
but im beggin you Lord keep him in You still.
