While there wasn't a defined "winner" the judge said I had the best brass solo. And I got a 1 on my score sheet. Which is a distinuished. I'm not sure why it took me so long to post this. I guess I just wanted to make sure everything was right. The four days I spent there were amazing. Each night the students and faculty gave us something different to wow us with. Thursday night the Concert Band and Jazz Ensembles 1 & 2 performed. The jazz ensembles were amazing with great improv solos! Friday night the Morehead Symphonic Band performed. The selection was phenomenal. My favorite piece was Fantasy Variations on a Theme by Niccolo Pagannini. Saturday was the Director's Band and the Percussion Ensemble. The Percussion ensemble was just as amazing as the rest.
All in all, this weekend was a great learning experience. I became familiar with the campus, and hopefully my future home, met a few proffesors, and made some new friends. <3 | Woah... |  | Oh boo!
