Round 1: Exam Cram [Oni] - AAA

Went into the tourney incredibly nervous and with a small break for some days so I expected to be quite rusty. Ended up warming up dramatically fast and got AAA on the D8 file really quickly into my session. Later I also got 4-0-0-0 on 1.1x rate which I wasn't expecting. Perhaps I stand more of a chance than I realize in this tourney, but my main goal right now is to get past round 2 and nothing more.

Round 2: The Bird's Snapshot Lifespan - AAA

Once again, I was nervous for this round because I was sure I'd be facing what I thought would be harsh anchors. Got a really fun file with totally manageable anchors and streamy bursts that flow really well. Got a 2-0-0-1 on my sightread and fixed to a 0-0-0-1 on the next run. Gonna come back to AAA later, seems very doable for me.

Edit: got AAA in the same session and 7-0-3-0 on 1.1x speed.
Edit2: got a 8-0-1-2 on 1.1x speed (almost SDG!!!).

Round 3: Zen'on - SDG (3-1-0-5)

Okay now I hate this game. Upon playing, the file isn't TOO bad, the staircase isn't as choke-able as I expected but easy to mindblock, and the ending burst is the only real trouble spot for me above all else. I know I can fluke a AAA but it's not a super big priority for me, so we'll see how I'm required to improve as time goes on.

Edit: Came back to this when I wasn't dead tired and in 2 tries managed to get 3-1-0-5 which is good enough for me, probably the safest I'll be getting this round since I started mindblocking the staircase patterns already.

Round 4: Brute Force - 10-0-1-1

When I said I hated this game, I guess I meant "give me more jacks". This file is a stamina nightmare.. I've managed to improve a lot since my sightread but I feel far from safe. Unfortunately the ending has jacks that are too fast for me to play, so this is gonna make for a frustrating round.

Edit: had a really good session and got 26-0-1-2.. I know I can improve it even more but I feel like I got really lucky on the jacks at the end AND honestly the file is so hard to grind that I hope I just slip by this round

Round 5: Critical Error - AAA

I had quite a skillboost coming into this round, so this file went from something that looked quite intimidating to something I can AAA fairly quickly perhaps. It will all come down to my consistency on the most dense parts. Got a 3-2-0-1 on my sightread which far exceeds my expectations.

Edit: I BOOFLAGGED IT IN MY SECOND RUN, GUESS THAT'S IT THEN
Edit2: AAA'd the file while streaming, didn't take long either but GOSH it was stressful as heck... and now I'm secured in top 8 :D :D :D

My first attempt on this file gave me almost no problems at all, save for one gigantic wall somewhere around the middle of the file. Got 14-0-0-3 on the sightread and may have an easy time this round :ooo

Edit: What I thought would be easy quickly turned to frustration as I'm starting to majorly mindblock anything involving the left hand. Either I'll slip by this round or this is the end for me.
Edit2: I got a 9-0-0-4 holy crap that's so close to losing SDG.
