Is there an inherent randomness to the universe? Think about it...hypothetically speaking, if we could record all of the given information at an instance in time (via a massive computing system) whats stopping us from analyzing it all and coming up with an exact answer to how things will occur in the future?
After all if we could understand how chemicals in the brain form thought and cognition, we should technically be able to analyze how that brain will respond to incoming stimuli. With this in mind (no pun intended) couldnt we predict what a human might do next? And if this is the case, arent we all automatically pre-destined; A fate if you will. Coming from someone with an internal locus of control...i can tell ya that, that pretty much sucks.

A little use of that grey matter

Is Perfection Attainable? Is what reality supplies us with (100% efficient machines?) even enough to get there? Send me your 2c.

Bring out your dead...

I'll certainly do that, perhaps even today? I just remember what I told you from reading a book back a year or so ago? Are you applying these formulas then and actually doing this in a more hands on approach? Well, a scientific one.

What I found interesting is that it shows that what we can see, what we do know. Is not, technically....what is. We view and live in the 3rd dimension, but what we see (2D surfaces in particular, anything prior to the 3rd dimension) is blurred, skewed if you will. Incapable of really showing all aspects of the 4th dimension...A little difficult to word..but hopefully the general thesis is stated?

Ah, was wondering where you've been. It's been a while, no? I've certainly read into Quantum Mechanics but probably not nearly as in depth as you have. The Heisenburg uncertainty principle is an incredible thing though, just that in itself...It's almost overwhelming how such things were created but more so how they function. Many theories to be raised in relation to that and our own perception, Compenhagen interpretations and what not. The sheer application of dimensions beyond 4th become intensely complex, or can, anyways. Even 4th, actually.

Ah, Kafka...I'm actually taking the initiative to read "Crime and Punishment," myself soon, since I've only heard good things about it. Well, Russian literature in general, very interesting from what I'm told. As for meter and what not, it can be rather annoying...Depending on what your listening to of course, but generally when I listen to it I don't analyze it too much though one could. I simply hear it, and try to listen for when it repeats, then again, that's more in a percussion context which is rather different than something with several ranges of tonality. There is some music that jumps back and forth sporadically though, jazz (free-form, generally) being a prime example. Glad to see your taking it up though, it's refreshingly overwhelming a lot of the time, which leaves quite a bit of room to improve, for any musician. Alcohol does tend to do that though, from what I've witnessed...Ah, how the influence can effect such fragile minds, it's quite the chisel upon the stone like m

Posting another, in fear that the box wouldn't fit much more. It's good to see you've met some people who are more than simply a carpace of what is to be filled later in life, it's often a rare thing, or rather, less common..but it's always a great feeling to be able to converse and speak of things that normally would almost seem extinct or out of place. I balance it out for what I can, I suppose, but they are more or less acquaintences. It's fascinating to see the parallels between what is the "young, immature" mind in comparison to those reaching proper formal thought...Both are interesting for different reasons, of course, different stimulation. What games have kept you occupied as of recent, besides FFR of course..Heh. As for those equations, you'll find that math is more fond of you than you may be it in any circumstance. You could love the problems, complete them under your will or without it, but surely, they will keep returning..to your fortune or "luck" shall we say.
