has been for awile now to reach in the top 1000. Im not sure I actually deserve to be there, and it may be just the amount of different songs Ive been able to play, but still, I enjoy the game and would be proud to see myself listed among the top 1000 avg players.

This brings me to point : I have about 102,000 credits atm, and it would cost me about 63,000 to buy every song I dont own right now. I'd like to reason that playing though so many songs would drop my rank at least abit closer to my goal, however, thats alot of credits and I like playing secret songs when I want to.

What do you guys think I should do?

Three changes recentlly have apparentlly REALLY improved my game, and since I try to be a nice guy when I can, I figured I would share. :P

Ok first thing that happened was I got new Desktop speakers for Xmas. Pretty nice ones, my old ones had blown out some time ago and I had to switch back to headphones for awile. As Ive said in one of my other tips, being able to hear yourself play on the keyboard can really help you keep rythum.

Moving on, and a slight sideteack to the story, I moved over the holiday season to a new house ( bigger is all, we have a new addition to our family now after all ), and I didnt have access to FFR or online for about 2 weeks. When I finnally came back online, I decided to surf the forums first and read up on anything I might have missed before playing again. Im glad I did! The second thing was I read this thread here :

While I knew of this option for a long time now, for some reason it never dawned on my dumb ass to do it for IE and FFR. Doing so seems to have really helped my PA, Im wondering if there wasnt a slight delay that was causing me to get so many goods? Who knows. It helped.

This is AMAZING, it helps SO MUCH to have a nice contrast.

I AM AN AVID FAN OF FFR AND RECOMEND EVERYONE WHO ENJOYS THIS GAME DONATE.

I say this cause Im not sure if the ads go away when you play like this if you dont donate, if they do go away if you dont donate, you should donate anyway. I like the beta lvl reader and early access to songs personally, but there are many other nice things for only $3.50 US a month.

Ok, to get it out, to me The Random is God. Ya you heard me, I dont worship some all powerfull being, I belive everything happend thorughtout all of time randomlly, and given a long enough time line and an infinite amount of space, ANYTHING not only can but WILL happen . . .

SO, anyone else use the random song setting exclusivlly like I do? I play only random songs within the difficullty I need to practice at. HOWEVER, Ive noticed that with FFR, The Random likes mess with my random song settings. I got the same damn song 4 times in a row today, and being the obsessive person I am, I played it 3 fucking times out of 4 before finnally F5'ing on the 4th time it loaded.

This happen to anyone else? It happens to me ALL THE DAMN TIME when Im trying to play, and usually the song it wants me to play over and over is one I really REALLY suck at.

Well, I guess I have to retract my prevous statement dont I? While its taken me alittle while to adjust to using a smaller desk, different computer / monitor / mouse etc, it would appear as though Im doing MUCH better on my wifes computer! While it might just be that I needed a change to jumpstart my " Magic Skill Level " ( see Page 3 of my posts called MAGIC SKILL LEVEL ) , I actually think its her monitor. Its closer, and the colors on her computer are much more vibrant then on mine before. Regardless of what it is, I dont really give a rats ass, becuase it sure has helped improve my game abit! Hell , I FC'd my first FMO the other day. My PA on it may have sucked, but still!

I guess if I had to make a point to this rambling nonesense ( do I HAVE to? ), I would say " Apparentlly playing like shit for awile has its advantages ".
