Goddess of Horses, mothers, fertility, maternity, crops and prosperity. Daughter of a mare and a man, and she was able to assume the form of a human or horse at will. In art, she was depicted with a cornucopia, sitting side-saddle on a horse, laying on for hours, or standing around multiple horses.

In Celtic mythology, Epona was the goddess of horses, donkeys, mules, oxen, springs, rivers, and cattle. She was also a psychopomp, accompanying souls to the land of the dead. When the Roman Empire conquered Gaul, Epona's cult was adopted by the army, and called her Bubona.
