HAPPY CANADA DAY

Happy 144th birthday (or something like that)
What have I been up to lately? Nothing much, still on my reading binge, still working at Canadian Tire, and still living on my own.

The book I'm currently reading is called "The Story of Philosophy" it's a very historical rundown of some of the most influential philosophers and what came out of each person. What I like specifically about the book is that it explains what caused the philosophic crisis, and how that person's philosophy not only spread, but what societal factors were incorporated. For example,the book really goes into detail (from what I have read, at least) what caused Plato to have his views in contrast to Socrates, and what influenced Aristotle which alluded to the medieval movement, and it explains much of what Aristotle philosophized was pretty much considered true for almost 1000 years. His aristocratic and religious philosophy was maintained during the "dark ages". There was a specific chapter in the book that dealt with the gap between Aristotle and the Renaissance. It's about 500 pages, and I have read about 140 in the past few days. It's broken up by philosopher. It goes in the order of: Plato, Aristotle, Bacon, Spinoza, Voltaire, Kant, Shopenhaurer, Spencer, Nietzsche, Berson, Russell, and some anglo-american philosophers, like John Dewey and William James.

I have the next 4 days off work... which will be so sick.

My doing a project gift for my friend, who really likes techno.
I would argue, out of all my friends who like techno, I'm the most well rounded because I listen to all strands, not just dubstep and electro. I grew up on 90's jungle and industrial and drum and bass.
Anyways, so I've got about 10 or so gigs of techno, and I want to just fill his ipod up. Right now, I'm making a list of all the music I have yet to put on (I'm finding more music everyday):
