It took a few tries, but I was able to PC this song. It's probably the fastest PC I've gotten, too. I'm not a great sight reader here, and the rhythms were a bit tricky to pick up, then I had to actually get all perfects. Not too bad, but the score for a PC gives 0 credits. It almost seems like this song is just here to give people PCs and a boost on their average level rank. I'm not complaining though. I can use the PCs. :)

It seems like a lot of the new songs of the week are rated 9 for difficulty. I guess most people like harder songs, but these are a bit too hard for me. I can pass them OK, but I don't get FCs or anything. I think that playing some of these harder songs has made some lower difficulty songs a bit easier for me, so it's not all bad. I think I'd like to see a few more songs in the middle difficulty range, something like 5 to 8 since that's the middle third of a 12 point scale. The 9s are OK, but still a bit hard for me. They're certainly better than 10+ songs though.

I just passed 30000 credits and got Gaussian Blur 3. It's hard for me, but I did pass it (and yes, I know that means almost nothing). I won't be getting the Gaussian Blur 2 skill token any time soon. Most of the skill tokens I don't have yet, I probably won't get for a while either.

I've improved my best scores on some songs lately, and my average rank was under 3000 the last time I checked. My overall rank is under 800 now, and I'm trying to play regularly enough to get some increase, or at least avoid dropping too far.

I think I'm getting better at some patterns or speeds, but some songs are still killing me. CIA Rave is still my worst song in terms of level rank, and I dread fast LDUR patterns. On the good side, I have one PC at difficulty 4/12 (2/6), and managed to FC Platypus at 7/12 (3.5/6), my hardest one so far (though I do have 2 other FCs at that level).

There are some songs where I feel like I should be doing better than I am. I guess I just need to practice more and hope my arm, hand, fingers, etc. don't get tired.

The shirt I ordered arrived today. That was very fast service. I wasn't expecting it until next week, so I was pleasantly surprised to get it so quickly. I searched the back of the shirt for my name, and found it in roughly the middle of the larger foot (the one on the right side of the picture).

Since I made it into the top 1000 players a few months ago, my name appeared on this shirt for spring 2007. I didn't go to the convention, but since they made them publicly available, I decided to order one. It was too tempting to pass up, especially since there were only 16 in stock when I ordered and I didn't know if they'd be making any more. I'll probably get it in about a week. It will be nice to have this as a souvenir of the game.
