| About me: | My playing style is Conventional One-Hand 3-Fingers, I don't shrink my screen but do use a speed mod (was 1.5x, now 2x), I've had some very long periods of inactivity, and I didn't play any games like this before joining FFR. Keep these points in mind when looking at my scores/posts. | | Interests: | Widely varied since I love learning. | | Fav Music: | I like most styles of music. Big band, jazz, blues, and classical have been long time favorites. Lately, most of the time I listen to anime music, J-pop, and electronic music (particularly trance or ambient), plus some of whatever's popular. |

Page 5 Catching UpPosted on: October 18, 2007, at 10:09:51pm [ 0 comments] I just finished catching up with the 10 songs per day, public release. I didn't worry too much about getting really good scores. I just wanted to get a score on the board for all of them. I typically got ranks somewhere around 500, give or take a bit, on them. I also got a number of new FCs and one PC at difficulty 4 IIRC (and I sightread the PC, too). Getting through all the new songs I was missing helped me go up about 12 ranks in the overall total score ranks, and brought my average rank under 2000 (it was at 1955 when I made the check to update it). However, I suspect that a bunch of people haven't played the songs yet, so my ranks might slip a bit over time. Still, I was happy with this improvement. The 16th note streams at 160bpm means hitting about 10-11 arrows per second. Certainly a tough thing to do, and even harder when I'm only using one hand. This is my worst ranked song at something near 15000. That's more than *double* my next worst ranked song, which is under 7000 at the moment. I really hate CIA Rave. I'm still in the top 10, but have been pushed down to 7th place. I wonder how long it will be before the next drop. My average rank almost never improves lately. I've been getting better at Song for the Nihonjins, and working towards a FC. I think I'm getting the hang of the patterns. I just need the stamina to keep my fingers hitting them. Well, my last play on it got a max combo of 1202, scoring almost 1.95 million, which apparently was enough to earn 40 credits. It also unlocked the Unknown Girl skill token for me. :) I got a little shaky towards the end of the song as I saw my combo growing and I realized I might get enough to get max credits. That probably caused me to miss when I shouldn't have. Hopefully having gotten this large of a combo once, I'll be able to stay calmer next time, increase the combo, and hopefully in the near future FC the song.

~Cardman~ | | rawr, the Tier Point list has been updated. Make sure you re-tally your requirements, as a lot have changed. Several new songs have been added, in addition to several songs having expanded reqs. The total number of points is listed on the bottom of the list each time it is updated, for future reference.
