| About me: | My playing style is Conventional One-Hand 3-Fingers, I don't shrink my screen but do use a speed mod (was 1.5x, now 2x), I've had some very long periods of inactivity, and I didn't play any games like this before joining FFR. Keep these points in mind when looking at my scores/posts. | | Interests: | Widely varied since I love learning. | | Fav Music: | I like most styles of music. Big band, jazz, blues, and classical have been long time favorites. Lately, most of the time I listen to anime music, J-pop, and electronic music (particularly trance or ambient), plus some of whatever's popular. |

Page 4 50 Public AAAsPosted on: March 29, 2008, at 09:40:02pm [ 1 comment] With a few more easier PCs today, I've brought my AAA bar here to 50. I've got more than that, but the bars here don't count all of the songs in the game. Most of my other PCs/AAAs are on the beginner level skill tokens. FMO-FGO EventPosted on: March 25, 2008, at 06:33:46pm [ 0 comments] I have mixed feelings about this event as described in the initial post about it. First, I don't like the fact that all of the new songs appearing this week are crazy hard. There aren't a lot of songs at the 11-12 difficulty though, so I guess they were bound to add more sooner or later. Unfortunately, having a lot appear in such a short time is going to kill my hand and prevent normal playing, because my only chance at getting a halfway-decent score on these songs is to mash the heck out of them. And as bad as my scores may be for these songs, I'd rather have something and a rank on them than be dead last on them by not playing them at all.
On the other hand, some of the beta fixes and features becoming public will be a good thing. It sounds like they're useful things and it will be nice to have them available to the general public.
So while the songs are going to be a pain to get through, especially with them constantly getting harder, the release of new features will be welcomed. Some New (Mostly Easy) PCsPosted on: January 19, 2008, at 07:39:36pm [ 0 comments] I realized that there were some very easy songs that I hadn't PCed yet, mostly new ones, so I decided to try to PC them. In most cases, I was able to do so, giving me a little rank improvement and some points. It also reminded me of years ago when I started playing and thought PCs were going to be so difficult to get. Things change over the years. :)
On a related note, I also picked up a PC on Breaking The Common. This was my first difficulty 5 (of 12) PC. I've been doing more work on harder songs and trying to improve my rank on them, thus getting a better average rank, so maybe that's helped when I go back to some of the easier songs. I'd still like my overall rank to be better, but it's hard for me to play enough to make much gain in that area. 50 Total PCs/AAAsPosted on: December 1, 2007, at 01:38:12pm [ 0 comments] I just got my 50th PC/AAA! :) I know the stats here show less than that, but that's mainly because (skill) tokens aren't included, only regular games. All of them are at difficulty 4 of 12 and below, but still it's good to have them. I haven't PCed all the songs in the 3-4 difficulty range, so there's still work to do there before I worry too much about PCing higher difficulty songs. KeyboardsPosted on: November 23, 2007, at 05:48:46pm [ 0 comments] Playing here from my parents' house on Thansksgiving break, I've noticed that using a desktop keyboard with raised keys is different from playing at my house on my laptop with flat keys. It's a bit harder for me to play on the desktop keyboard, probably because I'm used to the laptop. The up/down double is a little trickier to hit compared to on the laptop, and sometimes I can't move my fingers in quite the same way as the laptop and still get the same results. Well, I'll be back at home soon enough. I'm just playing a little on break to kill some time. | Dronak writes... at 6:11:03pm on 9/26/13 Yes, that's my digital piano, a Yamaha YPG-635. I think I used it as my old avatar, too, but this is a newer picture with a better camera. | | V-Ormix writes... at 6:07:06pm on 9/26/13 yamaha <3 | | Hey, sup. I haven't seen you around in a bit. | | Card Man writes... at 3:51:55pm on 9/28/08 Hey! I noticed the Top One-Handers thread in the forums is dieing down a bit....I think we need to start posting again to keep it alive; it would be a shame for all that hard work Bynary did to go to waste. What do you think? ~Cardman~ | | rawr, the Tier Point list has been updated. Make sure you re-tally your requirements, as a lot have changed. Several new songs have been added, in addition to several songs having expanded reqs. The total number of points is listed on the bottom of the list each time it is updated, for future reference. http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/vbz/showthread.php?t=95819 | | Was going to give you a thumbs up for the long post you made in Top One Handers but I guess I already did. Hi. :p | | Congrats on unlocking my token fast ;p | | Hey dude. I've updated the top one handers list, if you want a look. I've also tossed out a proposal for the TP list, and feedback would be appreciated. It is in the TP list, http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/vbz/showthread.php?t=95819&page=9 Interestingly enough, your average rank remained the same from the last update. | | I read your comments. Well said, however, I say you can still improve, as long as you don't have something like carpal tunnel (I doubt it). You're still doing pretty good though, I'm sure you can maintain your spot on that list easily. | | Hey dude, I'm not sure if you've forgotten about the top one handers list, but I've completely redone it: check it out! http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/vbz/showthread.php?t=95819 | | Older Comments |
