Epic War of Water Posted on: June 20, 2007, at 12:27:54am ..turned out to be not so epic >_> This is what was supposed to happen: We (meaning me and about 30+ of my friends and some acquaintences) were seperated into two teams: Green and Blue. Each team was stationed at a different house; Green with Ben and Blue with Sousa. Now each house was a base with four flags of varying points. To win, you had to have the most points by the end of the war (two hours). The battlefield was Ben's house, Sousa's house, and any of the streets in between (which is like only one street) Each player had to have a piece of colored construction paper ot your team color taped to your chest. If this paper got wet, fell off, or ripped, you were to go back to your proper base and get a new piece of paper. Each base had 100 pieces of paper, maining 100 lives per base. -- OK, so everything started out great. The bases were seperated and everybody was ready to go. Our (green) Superweapon, a water cannon powered by a pump of some sort, which shot water at a steady stream for over 40 ft., was ready and working. We had out people positioned and ready to go. On the other side (blue), they had set up a rock-solid defense to protect the flags. So we send out some attack squads to see what we can do, and we manage to get their flag worth the most points. Attack quads keep moving in and out, but none of them attack us. An hour has passed since the start and we haven't had one invasion. We figure that their strategy was to stay at base until they had killed of a bunch of our guys, then they'd lauch a full-scale attack. Turns out we were semi-right. Nearly their entire army is coming at us carrying a huge tarp to protect themselves, and almost all of them are carying a shield. So we fire the supercannon at them and start pelting with water balloons. Needless, to say, their attack failed, and they were pissed. Their team leader calls a time-out, and here's where things started sucking. A massive argument began: We had allowed one of out members to jump a fence in neighbors yard to infiltrate Blue's base, and they didn't like that. Personally, I don't see what was wrong with it. Great strategy, and to stop it all they had to do was move their flags and protect the back fence. But they complained that we were going without permission into someone elses yard, and so we couldn't do it. So we had another of our members ask permission. But they still bitched, so we agreed not to jump the fence/go into others' yards. So as Blue was going back to their base, one blue girl cuts across a neighbors ard and steals a flag. Hold on, we had just agreed to not use others' yards >_> So the more arrogent members of our team got pissed and began breaking every rule they could. Everybody got sick of it, and started shooting each other regardless of team, and the war had ended. ---- Amazingly fun, even though not as epic as expected. Great way to celebrate the beginning of Summer =^.^= |
