Red Stallion (devonin)
>Permission good (Blanket)
>Folder contents, metadata good
>Sync needs some tweaks. Mostly just moving some notes by a 24th, see notes
6.017 - move to .088
13.874 - move to .802
18.588 - move to .517
22.017 - move to 21.945
22.445 - move to .374 - your choice whether you want to recolorize this note back to red for shits n giggles
37.874 - 38.302 / 39.588 - 40.017 / 41.302 - .731 / 43.017 - .445 - The same pattern is used for very different pitches / chords. Sounds like an ABAB sequence, would be cool for patterns to match. –This situation repeats starting 51.588 and at 1:29.302
1:03.588 - (subjective, can ignore) I think you can still follow the ..instrument.. here. Syncs fine as 12ths offset to start on the 16th at 1:03.695 (yellow-cyan-cyan-yellow pattern)
1:18.160 - 1:19.017 - I’m conflicted on whether to tell you to nerf this 24th pattern to remove the OHTs. They’re a pretty major spike with this pattern
1:19.731 - suggest move to 1 - no jack sound here
1:52.874 - suggest move to 2 or 3 - no jack sound here
1:54.088 - missing, compare 24.945
1:55.445 - move to .374
1:56.302 - move to .231
1:58.017 - move to 1:57.945
1:58.445 - debatable jump for kick
Syncing to vocals is always a bit of a crapshoot. Fortunately with moving some notes by a 24th, you can get better (good enough) sync and still keep the identity of the chart. This is pretty decent for this difficulty level, the chart has good variety and doesn’t drag. But this has a lot of rough edges. It’ll get there with some polish.
As a side note to address the submission comments, which sound like a joke but nonetheless: The notion of any staff (judges / GMs etc.) fixing another user’s simfile - even with the stepartist’s consent - has come up a few times. We stand firm on not doing it.

Red Stallion (devonin) [7.5/10, CQ/FR*]
>Perms, metadata, sync good
17.302 - Starting from here, consider shifting the local offset up a bit, so that the percussion lines up on the waveform peaks for the rest of the file
*37.874-43.445/51.588-1:02.302 - Please stop misusing the same [14]312 pattern for different pitches in this section (it's ABAB, not AAAA). Compare 1:29.302-1:31.445
46.874-47.160 - Should be 212? Compare 33.160-33.445
1:33.910 - Sounds closer to 1:33.981
*1:41.160/1:48.017/1:58.445 - Should be jump. Throughout the entire file, percussion was always a jump. Compare 1:34.302
1:46.445 - Consider using a diff jump pattern that isn't [14] or [23]. This is a sound diff than the other two used in 1:45.445-1:46.302
1:56.302 - Sounds closer to 1:56.231
1:56.517 - Sounds closer to 1:56.445
>>Straightforward, but kinda inconsistent. See asterisk
Judge Score: 7.50 - Fixes Required

General
All the lyrics syncing should be done. Thanks for helping with those adjustments.
You also both noted the ABAB vs AAAA structure in several sequences. They've been changed to an ABAB structure, but please look at them and let me know if the As are fine like that, swapping from the 312 to 234 I THINK still feels fine, but it's less PR, but I wasn't all that sure how to differentiate them while keeping the 312s for B, without adding minijacks that I don't want.

I like the little break, personally. It is subjective, and I'm happy to take the note and add it if you really think it's -bad- to be empty.
"1:18.160 - 1:19.017 - I’m conflicted on whether to tell you to nerf this 24th pattern to remove the OHTs. They’re a pretty major spike with this pattern"
I left this in currently, and while I agree that it's a major spike, I don't think it's SUCH a big spike that it NEEDS to come out, and while it is OHT-based it also feels pretty like "a roll" to me that I think it's not grossly hard to at least mostly hit cleanly at the difficulty this song will land on.
"1:58.445 - debatable jump for kick"
Yeah it could go in, but it's also the 'last couple note wind down' and I'm happy keeping them singles and just following that short little last bit of lyrics before it cuts off.

"1:46.445 - Consider using a diff jump pattern that isn't [14] or [23]. This is a sound diff than the other two used in 1:45.445-1:46.302"
The cymbal makes it a different overall sound to the other jumps, but I opted to keep it as 14/23-based since it IS still a bass hit, and swapping between 14 and 23 is "easier" for lower skilled players. If it feels -really- bad, let me know and I'll change it.

The 234 choice for the "A" pattern doesn't quite work imo because it actually starts with the [14], which gives more of a 1234 feel than the music is doing. If you want to stick with 234 I'd suggest changing the [14]s to [34]s. Which may conflict with other [34] uses in these sections.
Also note that the "A" pattern has not been changed 1:00.160 - 1:02.302
Also very much recommend implementing ositz' note on 1:33.910 - move to .981 or possibly 1:34.017

Replaced the first attempt of A being [12]234 with [12]423 which better preserve the overall PR, without bumping into the issues with other [34] jumps in the areas mapping to other sounds.
Changed the note on 1:33.910, I think I just missed it in comparing the two sets of notes for where the lyrical sync was off.

the CQ/FR* jump issue of 1:48.017/1:58.445 still hasn't been addressed. Also despite your slight pattern deviations on the ABAB repetitions (e.g. "37.874-39.160" vs. "51.588-52.874", etc), I'll let this inconsistency slide since it wasn't bad enough to warrant an asterisk
Posted at 11:52am on December 29th, 2024
The one at 1:58.445 is intentional because we're just following the vocals for that final line delivery.
1:48.017 was just an oversight which I've now corrected.
The following on portions as part of the ABAB sections I thought were consistent internally to each major set of them, like the ones at 37.874-39.160 were internally consistent and so were the ones at 51.588-52.874 etc, even if they weren't always identical every single time they appeared. I presumed that amount of repetition to maybe be a bad thing rather than a good thing.
Regardless. I've also brought those in line with one another.
