Wasn't entirely sure how to deal with the ending of the song, making it all 16ths JS proved to be quite a difficulty spike and didn't quite capture the essence of the song very well. I'm not 100% sure about the ending yet, but I highlighted what I thought were the most important sounds. Mostly the more prominent hi-hats, semi-dumped 16th JS when the pads come in because the section becomes alot more intense.

✔️ This chart has been marked as final and shouldn't receive any more changes.

Brave Cats in the Clouds (M0nkeyz) [7.5/10, CQ/FR*]
>Perms, metadata, sync good

2.410 - Should be jump. Kick. It's not a minijack, neither is it colliding w/ a hand - to warrant being a single
6.961 - Should be a jump. Synth w/ no percussion. Compare 1.905
34.433-34.685 - Should be all singles. No percussion like 34.348/34.770. Compare 40.163-40.500
36.511 - Missing note?
44.714-44.882 - Pitch goes up, then back down for one note. It's not a complete descend like 43.365-43.534
46.315-47.157 - Trill PR should descend. The percussion's pitch isn't static like 45.556-46.062
47.242-47.326 - Should be minijack
48.506/49.096/49.685 - Should be hand. Doesn't seem like being between 24ths is an issue given that 50.275 is a hand
55.921 - Should be [24] to avoid an anchor. Compare 53.393/58.450
57.354 - Maybe do [3] for the descending noise
1:20.191/1:20.444/1:20.697 - Are these percussions loud enough to warrant jumps?
1:20.961 - Maybe hand?
1:36.708/1:37.382 - Should be jump, preferably [24]
1:39.068/1:39.320 - Should be [24] to be consistent w/ the "hand-to-jump kick" motif. As a result of this, 1:39.152 should be [1]
1:51.792-2:00.893 - Feels like more could be added here, though I'm not sure what
*2:05.950-2:14.545 - What noise are the singles being stepped to?
2:14.882 - Should be single. No Kick/Clap
2:17.326/2:22.045/2:24.405 - Missing jump

>>Mostly S&C. See asterisk

- 00:29.882 Whats going on with the layering here? I cant quite tell what you're supposed to be charting. Its clear you're layering the kicks/snares still and the main melody, But these constant 16ths just dont seem to go to anything. To me it feels like you heard the background synths and wanted to follow those, but its a constant 16th and that just doesn't like up with all the gaps like starting with 00:31.230.

- 00:31.736 Here we see you consistently following the cymbal. However that earlier section had notes that weren't on cymbals so again it makes less sense to me. However my main gripe with this choice is that its a bit counter intuitive to follow. First off there has been a similar constant 16th cymbal since the VERY first note of the song. The player has been taught to essentially ignore the cymbal. And the cymbals are a bit quite if you aren't listening for them so combined with the earlier issue this entire section can feel like its filled with ghost notes that just aren't going to the song.

- 00:34.601 why not use a [12][12][34] type pattern here like you do with 00:04.601 to emphasize the difference between the kick and snare?

- 00:47.242 considering these two 16ths are snares more than toms i dont think trilling them makes a lot of sense. maybe a minijack instead?

- 00:49.180, 00:49.264 i'm going to suggest removing these notes. While you were following this synth, since the complicated drum section started you also started ignoring the synth to highlight the drums. (00:47.832, 00:49.601

- 00:50.865 Are you sure this note should be a jump? The only thing i really hear to justify the jump is the kick, but it seems you aren't charting kicks as jumps (its a fairly dense section so its understandable) at 00:51.539, 00:51.624, 00:51.877, 00:52.129. So it doesn't make sense to me to chart this one as a jump when you're ignoring so many others.

- 00:52.298 maybe i'm too minijack brained, but it feels like you could put a lot in this section like here. especially considering how heavy the ending is in minijacks.

- 01:00.725 - 01:05.444 i STRONGLY dislike the patterning in this section. All the notes are just descending in a way the feels almost placeholder-y and they also really dont follow PR at all. just look at 01:01.146, a high tone to low tone going 1>4. It just looks weird like its trying to represent something, but the song just doesn't have anything that suggests this kind of patterning.

- 01:06.202 missing 16th for melody

- 01:06.287 If i'm right in that these 8ths are for the cymbal, then you're missing a lot of notes. 01:06.371, 01:06.371, 01:06.876, 01:07.045, 01:07.551, 01:07.719 and so on. If i'm wrong and its actually for the background synths, then having them anchor like this makes NO sense when they change pitch so much.

- 01:16.230 We're back to inconsistency 16th usage. It seems you're charting the cymbals here, but you completely ignored the cymbals at 01:15.641

- 01:21.371 shouldn't this be a jump for snare?

- 01:23.309 Its an ascending pitch with descending notes :(

- 01:32.747 This is VERY rude and feels like a good trap. Also given that 01:32.832 is a kick wouldn't it make more sense to put it on 4? I'd say also switch the hand, but the minijack into it sounds fun.

- 01:41.848 Given that these are 3 different pitches, i'd like it if they were 3 different minijacks. 223311 feels fair balancing pitch and playability, but i think even 113322 would be an improvement on what is there.

- 01:51.792 a little disappointed you didn't go full 16ths here. It feels like the chart doesn't really step up in energy quite like the song does.

- 01:56.006 not the biggest fan of the patterning/layering here. I feel like with how you have to avoid the hand at the end (and [12]21 is rude) i feel like something like 132322[134] would better communicate the actual beat here. And you rarely actually layer in the minijack sections so this one does stand out.

- 02:06.202 I really feel like the cymbal accents are really too subtle to be worth charting like this. especially when you go full 16th at 02:20.275 i really think it would just be better to do the same here.

- 02:20.191 missing cymbal 16th

- 02:20.950 I understand the jump think you're doing here, but the trill really feels out of place, especially when it exact pattern is repeated so much.

- 02:29.714 if you want my advice on how to make this less of a spike, remove the jumps at 02:30.219 and 02:30.556, and make the patterning around 02:30.809 more friendly.

- 02:36.287 considering this is the only 3 note jack in the entire song, i really dont think you should be having a note both before and after it on the same hand. theres room to move the jump around to at least make it a *little* friendly.

I feel like there is good justification to add more 16th jumpstreams to portions of this chart. If you're really woried about spiking the end of the chart with JS, having more of it will at least lighten the spike. I Do feel this does make for a fun chart though, even if some of the minijacks are a bit rude. I really do recommend unlayering those btw, it'll play friendlier and feel less like a consistency issue.

I'll go over the notes some other time, but to address the FR the notes are going to the cymbal/hi-hat.

CQ/FR* issue is kinda resolved? I guess the singles are going to the louder cymbal/hi-hats, but I could only hear the emphasis when I slowed down the song (really difficult to tell on normal speed with the ongoing cymbal/hi-hats). Anyways, I'll officially remove the CQ/FR* when you finish going over your aforementioned notes

Follow-up on where this is at.

will work on it asap

Ositz!

Storn!

- 29.882: Oh wow yeah, I filled everything up and stepped the synth sounds consistently now, the section is alot more dense as a result tho.
- 31.736: I dno, the sound is panned to the right ear and more prominent.
- 34.601: The sounds are quite a bit less noticeable due to all the other stuff going on, putting jacks there makes the transition into the 24ths alot harder.
- 47.242: Yes
- 49.180, 49.264: I added some missing notes to the synth instead, I feel this section feels weird when empty.

Thanks for the notes, chart is a lot different now so I would like to know if y'all are okay with these changes. I also removed some of the minijacks as per storn's suggestion.
