Fever Dream (Gradiant) [6.5/10]
>Perms, metadata, sync good

45.487-45.575 - Could make these into jumps
49.935 - Would suggest moving this to [3] for better PR
56.040/56.738/58.831/59.528/1:02.493/1:53.249/1:54.819/1:58.831/2:04.412/2:09.993/2:15.575/2:17.145/2:21.156/2:44.281 - Why not jump?
59.354 - Missing note
1:01.621-1:01.796 - Could do jumptrill
1:58.743/2:04.325/2:09.906/2:15.488/2:21.069 - Ghost note? This note wasn’t here at 1:53.162
2:03.540 - Should be single. Compare 1:52.377
2:24.819-2:33.888 - Is this supposed to be climax theory? It’s unclear why some sections get more layered and some get the same amount of layering
2:42.609-2:42.718 - Would suggest simplifying this “Jump+Single” to either a Hand or a Single

>>First part of the file is fine. Second part is not fine, given the inconsistent layering

- 0:54.121 this section feels quite underwhelming for whats going on in the music. There is a lot of complexity that could be charted and instead we are given 4ths with the occasional 8th that i dont feel really represents the music. The ending of the song leaves you a lot of difficulty to work with so i'd like to see something more interesting.

- 1:03.874 this note doesn't quite match the timing of the vocals. you have the K sound at around 1:03.816 or the N sound at around 1:03.976 and this just sits awkwardly in the middle. The vocals in general for this section just dont quite feel like they match up to the timing of the notes.

- 1:28.307, 1:39.470, 1:42.621, ect. maybe add some jumps for the piano notes here to spice up the section and keep things a bit more interesting?

- 1:50.458 missing 16th for the plucked string

- 1:53.075 the 32nd burst here isn't given a 16th despite being charted in the rest of the section.

- 1:55.778 missing percussion 16th

- 1:58.656 I find it a shame these bursts are only given 16ths. The pattern doesn't stand out quite like the change in rhythm. I dont think it would be too much to add 24ths here to draw a better distinction between the sounds.

- 2:37.660 This should probably be a 192nd to match the color of the rest of the notes, and to match the sync of 2:38.699

- 2:42.609 i really dont think a single note really does a good job of representing the burst here. The note feels out of place and random. I think something closer to the 3 note bursts you had at 1:58.656 would work a lot better and is barely faster than the 16ths already present in the chart.

Its quite tricky to take a complex song like this and dumb it down to an easier difficulty like this. for the most part i'd say this chart does a pretty good job. My main concern would be just how long it takes to get to the hard stuff. You dont get to the meat of the chart until 1:50.331 on a chart thats just under 3 minutes long. although 0:31.796 picks up the pace a bit, we really dont see much close to the difficulty level of the end of the chart except maybe 2 short 16th streams. especially considering how lackluster 0:54.121 felt, i'd consider looking into what you can do to spice up the section a bit. You dont need to make it the same level as the end, but bringing it close by adding a few of the uncharted 16ths wouldn't be a bad idea.

ositz:

- 45: Against this as it makes this section just a bigger chain of jumps. While the kick is still there, these two sounds also lose that whirring synth sound on top
- 49.935: Changed
- 56 - 1:02: Adjusted this section based on Storn's note and this includes some of the mentioned timestamps for jumps
- 1:01: Not liking a full on jumptrill here, added initial jump -> single -> hand due to the last note having way more emphasis than anything else in the ending to this first part, the middle single is to not have forced minijack
- 1:53 note that was added in response to storn's note now matches these other 4 timestamps for the 'ghost note?' point. All five should now have a note for that little burst
- 2:03: All instances of this note where this pattern happens between 1:51 and 2:22 should now be a single for consistency. Surrounding jumps have slightly more emphasis anyway so this should work.
- 2:24: Less 'climax theory' and more that in this section the notes that are now jumps compared to the previous section have a stronger kick so a minijumptrill like at 2:26 fits better. Singles like at 2:24.993 where left as is intentionally to avoid a section that's just a long chain of jumps (like my thoughts around your note at 45.487). Already have enough of that jump chain stuff when 2:36 hits. It's near the end so I guess 'climax theory' fits but that wasn't my intention. That term fits 2:36 better.
- 2:42: You and storn are wanting two different things here. You want it simplified further while storn wants an additional note to better fill out the burst. I feel that storn's point fits the song better here so that's the current fix.
- 2:44.281: Now a jump because kick is same intensity as rest of this jump chain.

storn:

- 54: Adjusted this section a bit. Not wanting to layer the buzzes but added additional 16ths for the underlaying percussion to better match, along with trill to echoing synth fade out at 59.703
- 1:03: This vocal section was really difficult. Her style of singing lead to audible endings of words very close to the syllable of the start of the next and I was aiming to not have a clutter of notes for every sound here. Going closer towards only start of words/syllables rather than the releases when it comes to layering, also tightened up the timings to try to better match the vocal hits
- 1:28.307: Would've loved to have more of the piano here but the frantic playing I felt detracted too much for the overall easier layering/difficulty I was going for. Current patterning is following PR for the vocals and then filling in gaps with singles for the underlaying kick while avoiding anchors. I can totally add jumps to the louder bass hits in the piano though which happen like every eighth 4th note or so?
- 1:48: Added 16th here for the louder piano note that shows up, feel like it fits along with the descending 16th plucked strings at 1:49
- 1:50: Don't hear a string here, if there is one it's covered up for me by the whir sound that starts around 1:50.386? Tried a note there though but it felt too strange so I left it blank.
- 1:53: Added
- 1:55: Added
- 1:58: For a harder difficulty, sure. Initially tried the intermixed 16ths and 24ths to the different bursts but it played too heavy for me, especially since the main reason for it's low tournament viability rating was the difficulty difference between first and second half.
- 2:37: Done. honestly wasn't paying attention to color here at all, just that the rhythms landed were they were supposed to
- 2:42: Now an additional note each for these two bursts, had to adjust jump columns to avoid forced minijacks. If you don't like the patterning here because of it when you look through these fixes, I'd rather just swap back to the original rhythms I think.
- While there's still an overall heavier feel to the 2nd half, I think the additions to the first half bring it up slightly to where the difference isn't as nearly as big as it was before. I can try to add a little more there to bring it up even further but I'm unsure as this difference isn't just because of my choice of layering but because the song itself is heavier/denser in the 2nd half. Let me know.

Gonna assume this is finished and push this along for release a bit early. If you have more changes you wish to apply, get in touch with me so I can retroactively apply them to the DC Engine for difficulty consultants.

Yeah, check box was marked for final already and I don't think I have anything else unless judges had other concerns that weren't applied yet

A 0-framer slipped in and no one noticed it until Difficulty Consultants looked

what do

Should I fix it or you

I have no idea how that 192nd turned up there, so sorry lmfao

Almost got away with a 0 framer, what a chad.

I should put a chart warning for 0 framers...

That wasn't even in the original version before the final fixes so I honestly have no clue what happened
