IKAROS (jh05013) [7.5/10] -FR-

PERMS OK
SYNC OK

16.856: Here the jump feels a bit off. Would suggest making this a single and adding 16ths triplets up to 17.884 to match the buildup.

28.856-37.084 [FR]: I can't figure out what the jumps layering is in this section. Bit confusing.

35.198: Missing note?

38.713: There's an opportunity here to layer the buzz 16ths for variety, maybe even colored.

39.313: Jump here.

49.598: Missing jump.

1:12.484: Could make this a right hand 16ths trill for variety.

1:25.941: If you go with the suggestion on 1:12.484, this would need to be added too (with 1:26.027). Would also require 1:58.084, 1:58.856 & 1:58.941.

1:56.970: Could afford layering all the crashes as hands here.

This chart is fun and has decent flow. The intensity of the song could be matched a little more to make things more interesting and buildups/releases more impactful, but it's ok as is too. Layering needs to be fixed in before this goes in however.

*26.113-37.084 - What layering is going on here?
39.313 - Is this note for Vocal? If so, then it should be removed.
43.427/43.598 - Should be jump. Vocal + Low Synth
44.113 - Should be jump. High Synth
48.913/49.084 - Should be jump. Vocal + Low Synth
49.598 - Should be jump. High Synth
1:01.084 - Missing hand? Vocal + CymbalCrash. Compare 59.027.
1:01.770 - So CymbalCrash is probably now hands from 1:01.770-1:02.970. If that’s the case, then this spot should be hand.
1:02.798 - Should be hand. CymbalCrash.
1:02.970 - Should be jump. Vocal + Kick.
1:08.541/1:12.827 - Ghost note
1:24.398-1:24.913 - Interesting idea to use a [3] anchor as a nerfed expression for 16ths.
1:26.627 - Why jump?
1:36.913/1:47.884 - The blue 4th here should be removed to stay consistent with the “3 white note” break sections.

>>Not straightforward, but kinda consistent. CQ/FR* for that one section with confusing layering.

Thanks for the notes. The beginning section was my primary concern as well, so I'm trying to come up with other approaches that could be executed well enough.

Not much progress yet. Feel free to reject if it gets too late.

The intended layering was vocal + 16th piano, but only using the first 4 piano notes of each descent, because otherwise it would be too difficult. One way to change it would be stepping the piano fully, but then I can't place jumps due to difficulty balancing, which would result in a strange instrument choice. Another way is to use vocal + 8th drums which is boring imo. Maybe making the chart a little harder overall would work.

Yeah, getting a little bit late unfortunately in-batch. Moving this to rejected.

Hopefully this will be considered for resubmission in a later batch!
