- 0:02.257 I dont really agree with making every single one of these bursts 234. I thnk its quite a boring choice to have the same pattern on repeat like this, especial when the rhythm is different. The two different bursts also sound like they may be different pitches as well, and at the very least like it goes from low to high to low, and not 3 ascending notes like is depicted.
- 0:05.016 I could go through this section and nitpick which sounds do and dont get extra notes when they change pitch, but this is a particularly noticeable one.
- 0:16.222 I understand that this note lacks any percussion, but the synth packs enough punch that it feels like this being the only note not to get a jump is a bit lacking. there are some other synths like this in the section that i think adding jumps for could spice things up a bit.
- 0:27.774 pretty long anchor an 2 here. seems a bit out of place.
- 0:30.618 missing 16th here for the percussion.
- 0:35.101 another pretty obvious missing 16th.
- 0:37.256 throughout this entire section, [12] jumps seem to get overused for kicks and i dont understand why. Its quite inconsistent too. 0:36.567 Is on [34] for example, but maybe you're just keeping [12] and [34] for kicks so other jumps can represent other sounds. But in that case we have 0:39.325 as [13] kick. We also have 0:50.532, a snare on [12] which then jacks with the next [12] which is for the kick, which to me is especially bad. (also 0:55.260) I think you really need to reevaluate what you're doing with the jumps in this section and make it more consistent, and maybe lay off the [12]s
- 0:58.118 speaking of consistency, these jumps are a bit out of place. I can see they are for the synth but they dont reappear again until 1:21.394, despite more snyths being present in the section between these two points.
- 0:59.498 Time to nitpick this roll. There is a clear 3 note pattern of ascending notes before a much softer lower note on the 16th. So i think it would feel a bit better if it started as 234 instead of 341.
- 1:00.877 so... the jacks. quite frankly i just dont think they work in the context of this song. It just feels a bit too dumpy, in a bad way. I'm not again using jacks for held notes like this, heck i've even done it myself. It is a fantastic concept that can really work well in a chart and help elevate it. I just dont think this is the right chart. Here It feels like the song needs to do more to support a jack like the rhythm of the beat doesn't feel like this constant 8th motion. its more jazzy and syncopated. all we have is those cymbal ticks and it doesn't feel strong enough to support the jacks. We also have notes like 1:00.791 which happen on a 16th, but the jack is on the 8ths. they're also on a completely different key from the one the note happens on. If you look at 1:07.256 and 1:08.625 you can reeally feel the 8th pulse and so the jacks feel good and work well and in comparison the other jacks are just lacking.
- 1:08.635 a cyan jack on 3? I'm really getting some savoir flashbacks here.
- 1:10.704 Descending notes and yet the roll ascends. a simple 4321[34] would feel more accurate.
- 1:23.118 There is no synth here so why is this a jump? the only thing here is a kick and it does not look like you are charting kicks to jumps in this section.
- 1:23.291 another minor nitpick, this jump is the same as the recent 1:22.946 yet is a snare unlike the other jump. When there are so many sounds that all give jumps small things like this can make it that little bit harder to follow. patterns like 1:23.980 work much better in my eyes and are much clearer in their representation.
- 1:25.704 read previous 2 notes.
- 1:30.187 sounds like there are 2 missing soft snare notes in this gap.
- 1:31.739 sounds like the rhythm is closer to 1:32.256 to me, and not 16ths.
- 1:51.911 despite being a different note, this is still part of the jack, despite 1:51.394 being a new note.
My main issue with the chart is those jacks. I really like the idea. its a creative cool concept that can really be used well in a chart. This is just not the song for it. With how important they are to the design of the chart that unfortunately means its going to have a large impact on the rating. The chart outside it is mostly fine minus some consistency issues or nitpicking. If you were to rework the jacks sections you can still be able to create a good chart, but it wouldn't be the same chart. Keep this idea in your head. Use it on another chart. it CAN work and i've seen it work myself. this just isn't the song for this concept to truly shine.

>>Consistent layering, though the PR is currently very rigid in 1st half. Synth is consistently stepped in the 2nd half.

Thanks for the notes, I personally think some of the notes are a bit nitpicky and subjective so I think I'm appealing, but I do want to address each note individually and will make changes according to them.
- 0:02.257:I don't really agree that repetition is boring, but PR could probably be improved here, though I don't think it's that big of a deal. (The difference in pitch isn't that noticeable, at least to me, I'm hearing A B C on some and A C B on others, but the difference is subtle.)
- 0:05.016: Yeah, I think I had an extra note there initially but removed it later because it didn't feel right to me. I can add it back in tho.
- 0:16.222: I think it would be kinda confusing, I debated putting jumps to only the synth, but not both, I don't think that would work very well.
- 0:27.774: I can break it up.
- 0:30.618: added.
- 0:35.101: I think adding this would distract from the rhythm.
- 0:37.256: I guess I can change it up, I mainly wanted there to be a distinction between snares and kicks, I think it's fine as it is, the section is fairly short and there's a nice distinction between high and low sounds.
- 0:58.118: I guess this is inconsistent, but the synth is the focal point of the song at this point and I feel that should be highlighted in a way. This is opposed to something like 73.119 where the synth is more in the background.
- 1:00.877: I think this is very subjective, I think I'm fairly consistent in my approach here and it's also pretty obvious what the notes are following.
- 1:08.635: This will probably catch some people off-guard, but fuck it.
- 1:10.704: changed it.
- 1:23.118: I am hearing the synth go down in pitch here, I dno.
- 1:23.291: I changed it up, but the reason I had it like this is because I was following the pitch of the synth and I liked the anchor motif, but yeah, changed it up.
- 1:25.704: Also hearing it here.
- 1:30.187: Not hearing them.
- 1:31.739: There's a very prominent cymbal sound on the 8th that I want to highlight and I think 16ths flow better with an 8th as opposed to 24ths.
- 1:51.911: Fixed it.
37.084-37.774/39.842-40.532/43.118-43.291/48.118-48.808/50.877-51.567/53.808-54.325 - PR can be improved here.
will fix the PR.
Thanks again for notes, they were really helpful. I'm appealing mostly because I don't think this chart should be rejected based on patterning. The layering and patterning is a bit experimental, but there is some thought behind it.

Hm, this is an interesting one. From looking just in editor I was completely prepared to uphold the rejection for the exact same reasoning as storn, but upon playing it in the AF engine it actually felt really nice to me. I think this would be a good addition to the game, although I will mention that the synth weakens near the end (around 121.912 on) and it starts to feel a bit less good around there--as storn put it, there's not enough to support the jacks. Accept, though I'd recommend tinkering with the end section a bit.
