Ready To Fall [7.5/10]

Permission = good
Metadata = good
Offset = good

- 5.672: Small suggestion that is entirely up to you, but I think it would be really cool to follow the guitar on these, the overall feeling of the section remains the same, but I think something like this would be way more fun: https://imgur.com/a/yb5anBs
- 14.919: Nice section
- 20.908: I think it would be cool to have this note be connected to both the snares and the guitar, like this: https://imgur.com/a/eXxD5Dt
- 51.576: Blue note should come first on this one, this doesn't sound like an offbeat rhythm and might throw players off.
- 59.507: This is something subjective because you're doing it consistently, but I would make this a single; there's no kick here.
- 62.392: ^
- 63.271: ^
- 63.788 - 85.727: Jump/hand usage seems a bit inconsistent here, but it plays fine overall.
- 82.018 - 145.439: I would cut this entire section out.
- 145.900: Sync is kinda off on some of these beats, if you could manually sync them that would be nice, but up to you. https://imgur.com/a/bpvyFDl
- 158.124: I would make some of the cyans such as this one singles, to signify that there's no kick on them.
- 173.328: Green note to the flam?
- 180.125: This beat is way off.
- 182.469 - 189.019: Sync here can be improved.
- 196.180: Why a jump? Only thing playing here is the vocals and you're not even following the vocals at 189.490 etc.
- 197.216: Jump usage seems inconsistent here again, this 16th is a single, but the 16th a few measures before is a jump.
- 200.786: Now a hand to just the vocals?

Chart is pretty fun to play, I do highly suggest you cut 82.018 - 145.439. I really feel your charts could be so much more enjoyable if you'd just cut some of the repeating sections out of them. Biggest criticisms are probably the length and jump inconsistencies.

Ready To Fall (storn42) [7.5/10, CQ]
>Perms, metadata, sync good
>File is stepped mostly on the drums

5.653-6.587/20.907-21.368/66.123-66.358/129.551-129.785 - Do PR on these jumps.
14.919-18.028 - Technically, these “trills” sound like an ABAC rhythm, but I’m fine with this current ABAB rhythm.
29.798/93.221/108.221 - Cymbal crash; should be hand?
36.947-36.947/100.253-100.370 - Hard snare hit; should be jump?
60.624/64.374 - I think this one is just [12] for the snare. Kick drum goes on [4] here, but there’s no kick drum.
70.041/70.962 - Yes guitar strum, no snare, yes vocal. Should be jump
70.271 - Yes guitar strum, no snare, no vocal. Should be single
70.502 - Yes guitar strum. yes snare, yes vocal. Should be hand
124.043 - There’s no long-yelling vocal to be a quad. Should be jump
124.980/127.793 - Same logic as 60.624
150.063/150.754/etc - For vocals like these, why not color them white like before?
*177.977-189.961 - Slightly offsync. Colorizer issues? Also 186.102 should be a single b/c it’s just a regular snare hit.
179.188-182.000 - Take out the [4]’s. You’re stepping the drums in this section, not the guitar.
192.725-200.787 - See note on 70.041, 70.271, and 70.502.
196.295/203.666 - Just a snare during this section? Should be single

>>File is mostly consistent in its layering. I’m giving a CQ only for 177.977-189.961.

5.672: Small suggestion that is entirely up to you, but I think it would be really cool to follow the guitar on these, the overall feeling of the section remains the same, but I think something like this would be way more fun: https://imgur.com/a/yb5anBs
- i could see an argument for the first jump, but thats all i'd really want to do here.

14.919: Nice section

20.908: I think it would be cool to have this note be connected to both the snares and the guitar, like this: https://imgur.com/a/eXxD5Dt
- yea, that is a cool idea.

51.576: Blue note should come first on this one, this doesn't sound like an offbeat rhythm and might throw players off.
- The Actual first note happens much closer the the green than it does the blue. And its consistent where it happens elsewhere in the song. https://i.imgur.com/XYVucNC.png

59.507: This is something subjective because you're doing it consistently, but I would make this a single; there's no kick here.
62.392: ^
63.271: ^
- I understand the reasoning but i dont agree with it. Maybe if i was working with hands in the section (which i would if it didn't make the section ass)

63.788 - 85.727: Jump/hand usage seems a bit inconsistent here, but it plays fine overall.
- "its wrong but it works" is definitely something that could be said about the section.

82.018 - 145.439: I would cut this entire section out.
- I get it, but i think people are a bit too eager to cut songs. i'll keep this in mind for future sonsg, but i have no interest in cutting songs that dont need it.

145.900: Sync is kinda off on some of these beats, if you could manually sync them that would be nice, but up to you. https://imgur.com/a/bpvyFDl
- i'll try and fix this up.

158.124: I would make some of the cyans such as this one singles, to signify that there's no kick on them.
- i disagree completely with this. I think there was some merit to it earlier where the rest of the song pauses, but that isn't whats happening here.

173.328: Green note to the flam?
- yup

180.125: This beat is way off.
182.469 - 189.019: Sync here can be improved.
- idk what happened there, but i'll fix it

196.180: Why a jump? Only thing playing here is the vocals and you're not even following the vocals at 189.490 etc.
- what? I follow the vocals for the entire section.

197.216: Jump usage seems inconsistent here again, this 16th is a single, but the 16th a few measures before is a jump.
- This is a case of trying to choose the lesser evil. I dont want a note on 3 at 3:17.101 or a note on 2 at 3:17.332 because of the anchors following the guitar. The only way to get a jump in here with that is to force a 16th minijack which i dont want to do, so the last option is to make one of the jumps a non jump and thats the one i chose to do.

200.786: Now a hand to just the vocals?
- 1) this is the name of the song. 2) there are addition backing vocals. This is consistent with every other chorus in the song.

5.653-6.587/20.907-21.368/66.123-66.358/129.551-129.785 - Do PR on these jumps.
- I dont think all of those need PR, but i'll add some.

14.919-18.028 - Technically, these “trills” sound like an ABAC rhythm, but I’m fine with this current ABAB rhythm.
- yea, i can here that. but this definitely emphasizes the groups better.

29.798/93.221/108.221 - Cymbal crash; should be hand?
- Just because there is a crash doesn't mean it needs a hand. There are jumps because i want jumps there and not hands.

36.947-36.947/100.253-100.370 - Hard snare hit; should be jump?
- Its a snare hit. but it is in no way "hard" The last 2 snare hits are clearly harder, much more than the first 1-2.

60.624/64.374 - I think this one is just [12] for the snare. Kick drum goes on [4] here, but there’s no kick drum.
- the yellow hands for snares could be argued as inconsistent. However The emphasis of the song is now on that beat and no longer the 4ths, so this helps emphasize that. Its also the beat that all the guitars change chords as well.

70.041/70.962 - Yes guitar strum, no snare, yes vocal. Should be jump
70.271 - Yes guitar strum, no snare, no vocal. Should be single
70.502 - Yes guitar strum. yes snare, yes vocal. Should be hand
- There are backing vocals here for the name of the song. So there are more notes here.

124.043 - There’s no long-yelling vocal to be a quad. Should be jump
- yea i noticed that earlier. its been fixed.

150.063/150.754/etc - For vocals like these, why not color them white like before?
- They are a very different kind of vocal. The white ones are all screaming. This is more melodic so cyan is a nice color for them.

*177.977-189.961 - Slightly offsync. Colorizer issues? Also 186.102 should be a single b/c it’s just a regular snare hit.
- Yup, i'll fix the sync issue.

179.188-182.000 - Take out the [4]’s. You’re stepping the drums in this section, not the guitar.
- I'm only ignoring 1 guitar here, not both of them. I'm building up the chart with the song and that guitar works perfectly for this situation. having jacks again here doesn't work towards that goal. The 4s are fine.

196.295/203.666 - Just a snare during this section? Should be single
- the snares are fine as jumps.

Fixes accepted/pushed through batch.
