Offset good enough

- 1.277: I prefer A B A B here, but A A B B works too, I guess.
- 3.377: ^
- 17.177, 19.277, 21.077, 23.477: The jumps in these patterns are all going to different sounds, but the patterns keep repeating which I feel is a bit erroneous.
- 26.477: This should probably be a single, you're not stepping this sound as a jump later on and it's less intense than the kick sound.
- 28.652: I'd like the glitchiness on these 16ths to be emphasised in a way.
- 29.133: Don't agree with the omission of this note.
- 30.977: I understand why you're only stepping the 16th notes here, but these 'cash register' sounds are very noticeable.
- 31.577: Why is this the only jump to the kick here?
- 33.077: This is a continuous buzz sound from 33.077 - 33.602, yet you're only stepping 33.152 - 33.302 as 32nds, why?
- 33.977: Should probably be on a different column than the kick before it considering it's a snare.
- 37.365: As appalled as I am by this sound, it should probably be stepped since you're stepping a similar sound at 13.127.
- 37.877: Not sure why this is a jump and 38.327 isn't. 38.927 is a jump again.
- 43.877: Pretty weak sound for a jump.
- 47.439: This 32nd feels like a ghost note, good job catching the 24ths tho, there's definitely alot going on here.
- 47.476: This should probably not be part of the anchor.
- 51.826: Don't like how this 8th and the next 4th are the same jump, the sound is so prevalent and the pitch clearly different.
- 53.776: Why is this a jump?
- 54.226: ^
- 54.751: ^
- 55.126: Why is this not a jump?
- 55.876: Why is this a jump, but 56.026 isn't?
- 56.476: Why is this a jump and why doesn't the 32nd burst extend all the way to 56.626?
- 59.476: This should probably not be a jump, the 8th before and the 16th after are way more intense and those are singles.
- 60.226: This 8th is a bit more isolated, but I still think this sound is too weak to be a jump.
- 60.676: ^
- 66.976: This is an acceptable approximation, but it doesn't feel super accurate.
- 69.976: This jump shouldn't be part of this [12] anchor. It probably shouldn't even be a jump.
- 73.126: This section feels really underwhelming for the sound. It's similar to 81.676.
- 73.651: Why is this a jump as opposed to the 8th that follows?
- 73.951: Missing 16th.
- 74.026: Probably shouldn't be a jump.
- 78.976: This anchor is too long, at 79.426 the kicks have a very noticeable difference in pitch. Either make part of this section singles so you can emphasise it or find another way of breaking up this anchor.
- 80.701: Missing jump.
- 81.676: This roll starts too late.
- 81.976: This is really right-hand-intensive, this 234 pattern is fine, but it transitions into an awkward OHT.
- 83.401: I don't understand these jumps here, it's the same intensity repeating.
- 85.276: Don't think this should be an anchor, last two kicks have a different pitch from the second one.
- 86.401: Questionable jump.
- 86.776: ^
- 87.526: Why are these 8th jumps different, but the 4th jumps the same? The sound on the 8ths is actually repeating and the sound on the 4ths is different.
- 87.976: This sound starts on the 8th, so I'm not sure why this is a hand.
- 91.576: Not sure what constitutes a jump in this section.
- 93.526: Why is this not a jump?
- 97.876: This section is very similar to 89.476, yet completely different in structure. Jump usage again feels pretty random. Also the anchor is too long.
- 119.776: Not a big fan of these forced polyrhythms, I understand what they're going to, but I don't think they represent the sound well.
- 129.376 - 133.276: There's alot of stuff going on here in the song, the steps here feel a bit incomplete.
- 134.476: This kick is way more intense than the snares you layer in as hands.
- 147.075, 147.525: Missing jump (you put a jump at 147.975 which is an identical sound).
- 160.650: I can barely hear any sound on this note and you layered it as a jump.
- 160.950: There's a shaker here, but this still doesn't warrant a jump imo.
- 164.475: I suggest putting a note here to the kick.
- 169.725: This is a jump, but 170.625 isn't, 170.625 is way more intense.
- 184.875: This is a very intense sound, I think a single is a bit underwhelming here.
- 186.975: ^
- 189.075: Here it's a jump?
- 190.425 and 190.575: These could both be jumps honestly with the way you're using jumps here.
- 192.375: Pretty hard left handed trill, sound isn't all that intense or unique to warrant such a pattern imo.
- 194.625: Missing jump.

There are alot of the same errors in the JS section that follows, but I feel the omission of jumps here actually makes sense for visual seperation between patterns.

- 272.774 - 302.474: These notes are offsync, it's only 30 seconds, I think it's worth manually syncing these.
- 302.474: This loud ass kick is a jump, but the snares are hands?
- 303.674: No emphasis on the glitchiness here?
- 304.124: ^
- 305.699: No reason to omit this 16th.
- 309.974: Why is this a single when it's more intense than the HAND before it?
- 314.174: These 32nds are very different in sound from the roll at 314.474, maybe seperate this by color?
- 321.299: Missing jump to the snare.
- 322.574: See 28.652.
- 324.749: These 16ths are all descending pitch wise.
- 327.074: Again this is very different in sound from the 16ths before it, I want some visual seperation here.
- 328.574: Missing jump.
- 336.074 - 359.773: This section is very cool.
- 359.773: Why is this a hand and the 8ths singles? They are pretty much the same sound, but different pitch.

This file plays fine, it's fairly fun even, but there are so many technical errors that I can't accept this without changes.

Score is not final, second judge will update the song status with the final rating.

noted, thank you for the extensive notes

-To be fair, I’ve looked at M0nkeyz notes prior to looking at this file since I wasn’t initially judge for it and was interested in the length of notes posted for this 6 minute file. I’m going to trust M0nkeyz’s initiative to write this many notes in-detail in regards to this file, and give this a score to balance it to 7.0 CQ, so it has a chances to get fixes in. Playing it myself, I can agree that there are quite a few technical errors that could use fixing, but cross-referencing it with M0nkeyz notes shows 100% duplication of notes.

"Also starting immediately, will be the standardization of wait time for submissions in batch after they've received judge notes to 1 month. This means that if a file gets a 'Fixes Required' (formerly Conditional Queue) status, and receives zero response from the stepartist in that time period, it will be rejected."

note to self, push changes prior to feb 19

There is some leniency since this file isn't part of the current open batches & moving forward (OT15, Jan/Feb, Event Token) so if you need more time, just say so either via DM's or here.

had a lot of free time today. what do we think of the changes? addressed notes, changed some layering and touched up all the spiky / glitchy parts. this is not a final fix for the song

A new chart file was uploaded with the following changes:

Note Count changed: 4696 => 4886
AVG NPS changed: 12.7401 => 13.25556
Hand Bias changed: 30 => -12

-[00:14.026] Check which bubbling sounds are stepped here. The second iteration goes decently longer and is spaced out differently.

-[00:34.126] Bit of down anchoring here, can be avoided by swapping the first 8th to the left column.

-[00:37.014] Would argue this 32nd is also part of 'SFX' here but is missable.

-[00:53.776] Similar to 34.126, some d/u/r anchoring (no left column).

-[05:01.725] PR-wise, this 8th is part of the next set of down arrows, not these up arrows.

Majority of it seems fine and unnoticeable to the naked eye. You did a fair amount of work to this file, and strongly addresses majority of M0nkeyz's notes. I would be okay allowing the current version in as-is. Included some nitpick touch-up suggestions.
