Haha I learned how to solve a rubik's cube on friday :)
Go me
I'm really slow though. My fastest with a rubik's cube software is 2:15:61. Not great, but I just learned 2 days ago. My fastest with an actual cube is slower |

I don't understand how it is possible for you to have a better time with an online cube. I can solve one in 28 seconds in real life and i doubt i could beat the time you can get with an online cube
but either way congrats on solving a cube man not that many people can I always enjoy seeing more people able to do it

Re: Haha I learned how to solve a rubik's cube on friday :)
I'm just under 3 minutes with a real cube. I think I'm just slower with a real cube cause my hands and fingers aren't used to it yet. It'll get faster
EDIT: I just got 2:16:87 Real cube lol. Last edited by remedy1502; 12-16-2007 at 09:22 PM.. |

I've figured out on my own how to do the whole thing except the bottom. That thing still kicks my ass.

I usually get sub-minute (barely) solves on a colored cube. I got a gray scale cube like a couple days ago--so much harder. D:

If Rubik were alive to see this, he would die.
It took him a month to solve his own cube, after all. |

Re: Haha I learned how to solve a rubik's cube on friday :)
Yeah people have algorhythms and tips and tricks and things that make it a lot easier. Try solving it without help. Out of all the people that tried my cube, they could barely solve one side, and even then, only the top color was right and they had bits in the wrong places. It's all about the tricks; without those, I doubt if more than a relatively small group could actually solve these things. Heck, the numbers of those who can solve them even with that help is already ridiculously low.

yeah; the first two layers can be intuitively solved without the use of any algorithms, but the last layer would be incredibly difficult without directions.

And congrats on the solve
When I first learned it, I was about where you are, but you'll get sub-minute solves in no time with practice^_^ |

The rubik's cube isn't really that difficult. If you know what you're doing.
