Firstly, you'll know that I leave a line after every 2-3 sentences. This actually makes reading easier. I don't just want to make a really huge post.

I just felt I needed to say; that...To survive in the wilderness also known as 'FFR' you need to know the ropes. And that's what I'm here to explain.

This is going to be an exact guide to the whole of the FFR forums.

Now if you're reading this you must be logged in. So you can follow my guide .

PS: I also made number codes (1.1 / 1.2 etc.) So you can find the section easily. If you wanted to know about editing your profile you would press CTRL+F And type in = 1.1.3 you would then go to that section. Easy!

We're going to the the whole top bar ( the thing that says which part of the forum you're in, the one that says User CP, Register, FAQ Ect. )

-USER CP- 1

User CP (Control Panel)

Basically features options to look at stuff and change stuff.
We all know what Your FFR Profile does; It goes to "Your FFR Profile."

The options below it edit your profile and forum appearance.

Edit Signature 1.1.1

A signature is the thing at the bottom of my post..Well; all of my posts. It can feature a picture, some text, a link. Etc.

Make sure you don't make your signature too big or the moderators will warn you and if you do not follow rules you WILL be banned. Not forever; just for a while. However. If you keep doing it after you've been banned it could be permanent.

Anyway, signatures are a priority. Everyone has one..Except for the guys who just can't be bothered. Make sure you don't keep changing it too often either; most people identify members by their signatures/avatars (display pictures)

E.G: When I think of hi19hi19 I think of a corn with a face. And HammyMCSquirrel well...a picture of Hammy I guess XD.

Anyway; onto the next section.

Here you can change your DoB (Date of birth) and what you want to display.

You can also add things like your favourite music/location/gender etc.

This option kicks butt.

An avatar is basically the picture of evil ken with inverted colours (olour in UK, correct spelling.)

at the beginning of this post. You can go in google images and type something in like...Sonic. And copy the image location of the picture you want (again; not too big. this time it has limitations though; 200x200 pixels)

Or, like me. You can upload something from your PC.

Noone uses this anymore. Basically; it's the picture that shows up when you click someone's name. it's not the ffr.com/profiles/yourprofilename picture. Just a lame one (sorry ffr >.<)

-PRIVATE MESSAGES- 1.2

Private Messages.

I don't really think you need any explaining for this, it lists the messages you have received from other members, unless you have changed the settings in edit options.

-SUBSCRIBED THREADS- 1.3

You can subscribe to threads (just like this one) by pressing a button that's located in the thread. Then; whenever someone replies to the thread you'll get a message from FFR. (Yes, ffr is concious)

-MISCELLANEOUS- 1.4

Event Reminders 1.4.1

This is basically linked to the calendar; (fifth from the left of the top bar)
But the calendar is out of date (how ironic)

Paid Subscriptions 1.4.2

You can subscribe to FFR and access options normal members can't; like beta songs/beta games/a subscriber forum/custom titles.
It's awesome!

Group Memberships 1.4.3

Currently there is only 1 group called The werewolf group (TWG.)

This usergroup gives you access to "The Werewolf Game" forum on this site. This is a section of the forum for a forum game, that takes place online. Do not join unless you plan on participating. Inactive users will be removed.

Instructions on how to play are there..

Buddy / Ignore Lists 1.4.4

This basically lets you delete/add someone to your buddy list. which can be you will see their avatars in your FFR profile at the Buddy section.

Attachments 1.4.5

When you post an attachment (a zip file/picture) they will be saved here (I think :/)

-REGISTER- 2

Lets you register for FFR. Enter you Date of birth and fill out the rest after to create an account .

-FAQ- 3
FaQ (Frequently asked questions)
GOT QUESTIONS? NEED ANSWERS? THIS IS THE PLACE FOR YOU! JUST PUT IN YOUR QUESTION (try not to lengthen it too much) AND YOUR ANSWER WILL ARRIVE IN SECONDS! (based on an 8MB internet connection)

Oh I almost forgot; Always respect Veterans (Tibs/TheRapingDragon) Veterans are basically people who have been registered for years and are respected by the community. Respect admins (synthlight made ffr, lightdarkness, etc.)

If you don't respect them; they wont respect you. That's the most important part of FFR. Even though it's the internet. Don't say things you wouldn't say in real life to that person.

I'm not trying to be mean or anything, but this is kind of pointless. Most of the options you've mentioned are pretty self-explanatory and the rest (about respect, Q&A etc.) have already threads for them that are stickied. If you really wish to help out the new players, reply, or redirect, them to the appropriate places.
